I want to create a report to use as a freebie. The topic will be about building trust and adding value to your list.

I'm asking for your input:
  • Please tell me your top 5 ways that you build trust with your list.
AND
  • Please tell me your top 5 ways that you add value to your business. - So that people acctually sign up to your list and stay with you for the long term.
Any title suggestions would also be appreciated as well.

Thank you in advance,
Melody

You can find many free courses out there on relationship marketing. I think one of the best ways though is to join trustworthy peoples lists and see what they do.

      Thank you Willay,

I have researched several keywords trying to find other ways to do this, but I haven't researched 'relationship marketing' yet. I'll give that a try.

If "he" will provide you with the information - who are you????

If you're producing a report to help you build a list, why should other people tell you what to put in it - or did I miss something.

If you are producing a report on list building then you should know about list building. If you don't, then choose another topic for your freebie.

I agree, this is why the internet marketing niche is full of crap products and bad advice. People writing about stuff they know nothing about.

How is that fair to your readers and subscribers? You're giving them advice that you haven't verified for yourself. They could be wasting their time when they could be doing something that works.

Don't try to create a product to offer in the internet marketing niche unless you've actually had success in the internet marketing niche!

Why not poll your list and ask them?

Now I've done what I always tell other people not to do. Quoted a troll/spammer and then reported him. He's gone, but his daft message lives on in my previous post. I won't delete it as it doesn't contain a link.

First of all, welcome to the Warrior Forum, Melody!

I do agree with willay that you should join the lists of people in your niche and see which ones have the biggest impact on you (negative or positive) and start from there.

I see that you are using Chris Farrell's membership site to get started. I'd just like to say kudos for deciding to create your own product to give away. It show initiative and a willingness to take action.

The best advice I can offer you right now comes not in the form of my top 5 ways to do whatever. Instead, what I can tell you is take your experience from being on different lists and write them down. Figure out who your top 3 favorite marketers are. Look at what they are doing and what they have in common. See how they build trust with their subscribers (YOU).

Write everything in a word document. Don't censor yourself. You are going to be the only one reading it. Just write down everything that comes to mind. You can edit it later.

Hope that was helpful. Oh, and don't take the negative comments personally. Everyone gets them. Consider it an initiation to the WF. :p We are all here to learn from one another. And we were all new at one time.

    Good luck,
    James

The best way to create a relationship with a list is by providing value. It's thinking like your friends, they are more likely to make you do something than a stranger. So you provide value with content. And the content may be something that your target market finds valuable. If it's about gardening, think about practical tips they can use right now to get results. If they see value in your free content and see you are the real deal, they are going to listen to you and some of them would buy what you offer.

So you can start by providing valuable blog posts and videos and send it to your list every other day with valuable information. That way you would build the trust you need to monetize your list.

I've learned a lot from Frank Kern in terms of relationship building...

Definitely one I look out for when it comes to interacting with subscribers!

    Hope this helps,
