What do you mean by a system?
Are you writing your own book or using PLR ebooks?
You can sell PLR ebooks or your own and there are many different options.

MarketingPro11 and Steve Peters Benn both have some great WSOs on putting together great content quickly and selling it.

Obviously the toughest part is coming up with the content. Once you create the ebook theres a lot of forums you can sell it on. Also you can try some affiliate networks like clickbank, digiresults, rapbank

There are countless ways you can make money by creating/writing your own ebooks. It's a fantastic way to get started online as a newbie. If you're just getting started, it may be a good idea to write about something that interests you, or something that you know about.

Here are a couple of pointers to consider:
    ===========================
    * It must have great value to the reader. This may seem obvious, but content that solves problems or answers real questions usually goes down well.
    * eBook readers are going to be reading the book on a screen, so it is more important
    * than ever to ensure you layout the content in a user-friendly and particle manner.
    * The more specialized your ebook is, the less competition and more response you'll get.
    * PDF format always works great. It's a good choice to ensure both Windows and Mac users don't have any trouble opening the ebook file.

There are several ways you can take some legit shortcuts to preparing the content:
    ===========================
    a. Hire someone else to write the content (higher budget $$)
    b. Purchase the rights to existing articles or other content (lower budget $)
    c. Get multiple authorities to contribute and offer them free publicity by allowing them to place a link (back to their website) inside the ebook. (great option and free!)

It is always better to write a shorter book that servers a purpose, than trying compile as many pages as possible.

I hope this little bit helps. Happy ebook creation!

The marketing system is second to the ebook itself. If you write about fruit flies mating, you probably won't get much interest. Choosing a topic and knowing what you are talking about and giving the buyers something that they can't get anywhere else is key.

Once you have an ebook together that you are certain there is a market for, you can run it as a WSO, bearing in mind that it must be unique (not PLR rewritten for a WSO).

Selling an eBook can be very hard. If you have a following then it would be very easy to sell an ebook at launch. but with no eyes seeing your ebook, you won't get any sales

That's why you want to promote it through something like Clickbank or digiresults and get affiliates promoting it.

Any product you sell online needs to have "eyes" seeing the product. That's what traffic generation is all about.

Only good content will provide good reviews. Good reviews result more ebook sales. On top of that book name, covers and marketing surely helps. If you refer book writing systems online, I have used Fastpencil. Writing and Editing has been easy, so is publishing to various stores. Only the revenue share and book printing is a bit dodgy.

The best way to do this is to hire a ghostwriter to write one for you and offer a membership on the backend.

All the above is good advice, but you'll find it will come down to getting traffic. That's where most fail, since its pretty easy to write an ebook or have one written. But targeted traffic is a whole different story.

    depends

do you want to just make money directly by selling the book?

    or

do you want readers of the book to take some further action, like subscribing to your newsletter or something?

you can do both of course

Type about what you know. Create some information in Microsoft open office. Render this a a PDF and sell online. You will need to set up a paypal, a sales page, and sign up for promotional sites. Promote your site, and start making money. Who ever pays you gets an ebook emailed to their purchasing email.

You can sell it on Amazon as a Kindle book. But you'll still need to promote it yourself.

It helps if you already have a blog on the same topic.

You can also contribute to forums that deal with the ebook's subject and promote it in your sig. (if that's allowed).

Definitely the best way to sell an eBook is to have really good content.

After having been stung a couple of times I will now not buy any eBook unless I can see a sample of it first.

Once you have a really good solid book, then half the marketing will be done by word of mouth and great reviews anyway :-)

Don't bother with fiction - it is virtually impossible to make money with it. Focus on a topic that is going to be of interest to buyers. I've written over 10 books on the dating/seduction niche that rake in money every day...I pick "evergreen" niches that never go out of style...

The main thing is to make sure it is an ebook that helps your target audience. Full of great and useful information in an easy to follow writing style.

Then you want to make it available in as many formats as possible such as epub, pdf, html. Smashwords can help you with that.

Then you start your marketing campaign to bring traffic to your sales page. This can be done through advertising, social media, etc. It is critical that you know your target audience well and track your conversions NOT traffic.

One thing I've had luck with to make sure my ebook has great content is to find a handful of people who are my target audience and have them review the book for me. Did it resonate with them? Did I hit the target for what I wanted to communicate? What could I do better in terms of content? Did I miss anything vital?

Another great thing is you can ask these same people to do a review on Amazon (if you publish it there - which I highly recommend) for you as a bit of added promotion, too. Sort of killing 2 birds with one stone.

I find when you ask people in your target audience (get to know them in forums if you don't know any in real life) to help you with a project they feel honored to be a part of a project. Plus they love to get a product for free just to give a review.
