Are you interested in being interviewed about your online business/products?

Hi Warriors,

I meet a lot of IMers on my travels and quite often when I want to recommend someone or their product, the person I'm telling doesn't know them so they just have to trust my recommendation.

This got me thinking that if they saw a video of me interviewing that person, or just that person answering the questions I'd put to them about their business - they could see them and get a feel for whether they were interested or not.

I'm not really interested in trying to make these sales calls, just informative about the person and what they're all about with their insights into why they created their product and who it's designed to help.

Is this something YOU would be interested in?

I've added a poll so you can say whether you would be interested in being interviewed, seeing others interviewed, or not interested.

I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks

Andy

Andy, I would pay money to have Allen Says interviewed.

If you can pull that off...

Sure - I run a combination of info product businesses and e-commerce stores - and also provide coaching and a membership site for info marketers that my subscribers really seem to like.

I would want to share rights to any interview done however, these are the terms I have for all the people I interview.

      Cheers...

    Andy,

Your big question is, "would you like to be interviewed?"

I'm not sure who would say no to that, if the interview will
be seen/heard by their prospects or colleagues.

Personally, I'm always open for interviews. And, anyone
who has even a little success should be eager as well.

I always love to see interviews of others, and I love to tell about what I am doing.

Seeing what other people have done is valuable - it shows how many different ways that success can be achieved.

Seeing what others have done and how they did it is inspirational - you see what obstacles they overcame (and eveyone has some obstacle they overcame - just that some obstacles are bigger than others ).

That is kinda hard to turn down... I have an interview of the month program that i send out to my members. I have found that it is prety easy to get some great interviews in just a day or so. I get most of mine from http://rtir.com.

Usually on any given night I can spend about 30 minutes gathering email addys of people that are on that site and send out the same email to all of them. It usually takes about 20-25 names.

Out of that one email, 2-10 will reply, and the majority of them are saying yes. They spend an hour on the phone with me, and they can use the recording for whatever they want. I in turn create a product out of it and send their message out to over 1000 people a month.

This process builds credibility for the both of us.

I dont know if thats what you are looking to do, or if you are just wanting to interview the people that you promote their products...

either way, hope this helps someone.

I actually already do that (using the same site) for some of my niches.

I know it seems like a no brainer but actually I've found a lot of IMers have got themselves into niches that they DON'T want to tell people about.

and there are several reasons why.

It's not as cut and dry as it may seem.

If you've ever heard me on Blog Talk Radio - not giving poor Willie a chance to get a word in edgewise - or any other such, you'll know that I love interviews. I just like talking.

Be sure you don't miss me smacking that silly old Scot Taylor around on BTR. Friday night. He'll regret calling me out!

I usually turn interview requests down especially if they are audio etc. I hate my accent.

I suppose I ought to start saying yes!

Honey, you haven't heard an accent until you have heard mine. Skype me sometime.

    Andy, that's great stuff.

I use this model all the time when promoting.

When you can get a video/phone call with somebody and your
subscribers can hear what they're talking about it goes a
    LONG way in helping credibility.

Not only can you share some great info, but when
you're selling everybody can see who knows their stuff
and who is a bunch of fluff.

So yea, it works and I'm always interested in hearing
what other folks have to say.

I also leverage the expertize of others by interviewing them and turning it into a product. I love that process.

I've been interviewed myself three times and it was a fun process to be on the other side of the coin.

I also love listening to interviews. My ipod is loaded with them. You really learn a lot from them since the interviewees really seem to deliver. I've heard a couple duds but mostly I always pick up some good stuff.
