Question on split testing

Hi,

I want to do split testing on my website. I do not have a list. So I am relying on adwords. My question is how far can I rely on ppc campaign for testing. Also, could you please let me know the proper and effective ways of split testing for the newbies. It would be helpful for newbies with no list.

Thankx in advance

Cheers,
Jee

    Website Optimizer - Google

Ha, the copywriter guy beats out the web gurus.

(In all seriousness this is the one everybody recommends.)

A/B Testing Tool | Split Testing and Multivariate Testing Software - Visual Website Optimizer

Sorry but Google doesn't cut it. There are so many more powerful and helpful tools out there which provide you with the real analytics that matter in a way that's easy to interpret.

The one posted above has a free 30 day trial as well, the amount it can make you within those 30 days definitely covers whatever you're going to end up paying.

Which is another thing ... don't be afraid to pay for a tool which will make you money (oppossed to using one for free that don't).

Not saying you can't make money with Google optimizer (you can, I have, you will, many have) but there are better more effective user friendly tools out there.

Thanks all for the reply. I have came across Google web optimizer but I never used it. I will try that.

I heard something like direct linking to a sales page might not be a good option in adwords. Is it true?if so then how should I start split testing?
