Website besides Amazon?

Because I live in California my account was closed and I used to make some income every month just by writing a short review and recommending books and dvd's that I liked on facebook and twitter.

I have been searching for another site that will give me commission the same was but I can't seem to find one. I have found plenty of sites that have affiliate programs but none of them have a way to link directly to a specific book or dvd, its always a general affiliate link to their home page.

If anyone has found anything that will work, I would appreciate some information.

Thank you!

Tiffany

I read amazon is working out their issues with the tax thing and should be re-opening their doors to Californian's and others soon.

How are they going to compromise on this? I don't see CA shying away from this, as they look at this as a huge tax revenue generator...

Skimlinks is pretty easy to sign on to, and they may pay a higher percentage than Amazon if you didn't sell a whole lot there as Skimlinks gets a high percentage due to the volume of their affiliates. So they will pay you more unless you are at the highest level.

What about Barnes & Noble. They have an affiliate program as well. And they're the next closest to Amazon.com

I checked out their affiliate program and even joined but seen no way to link to specific products, only to use the affiliate links and banners they provide.

I'd say your best bet is to join places like Commission Junction and Linkshare. Those two have a huge selection of companies that you can join as an affiliate. Depending on the company you choose, you should be able to deep link to specific products.
