What's your guys experience with Amazon

Is it hard to make 2/300 a month off it per site? Is it any better than adsense? I'm really not a fan of clickbank so want to go with amazon, but I want to utilize my site(s) traffic to the fullest.

Amazon makes it easy to get your feet wet and make a couple bucks. You either need targeted traffic to whatever you are funneling them to or you need a lot of it to take advantage of the 24 hour cookie.

If you want to make real money you will probably need to find other ways to monetize your sites. But, Amazon is OK to learn with.

For the long run think more about providing value to visitors. That could mean monetizing with Amazon, or Adsense, or whatever affiliate program, or maybe some offline deal you made with your uncle who owns a business.

It really is not difficult to make 2-300 bucks from an Amazon site I have sites that make well over a $1000 a month and also ones that make just $60 but once you add all those sites income over the month it adds up very quickly to quite a substancial amount on a monthly basis.

You will find the Authority sites will make more while the Sniper sites are easier, cheaper and faster to build and will make you smaller amounts per month.

Amazon is perfect as mentioned to start out making money online and its very very realistic to make money fairly quickly promoting Amazon products in comparison to other ways of making money online.

You might want to consider advertising or building a list because otherwise you may be missing out on the most profitable time of year while trying to get your sites to rank. I promote a combination of Clickbank, Amazon and a few other affiliate products using direct marketing such as email, postal mail, and writing articles for online/offline publications. Over the last three years I've also been placing ads in a few popular consumer magazines for the holidays, which has been a huge success. This year I'm feeling rather cocky, so I'm spending the biggest wad ever in advertising. The upshot is, there are other ways to promote Amazon than just SEO.

I have had good luck with my Amazon affiliate account, but on a small scale. With very little effort, I was making $50 a month, roughly. From that perspective, it's definitely possible to take that effort and spread it across 6 sites, each generating $50 a month. I know that the affiliate rules get a little weird as you start referring people to higher price products, so I'd check that out before investing too much time here.
