It really depends on how you use it. What kind of list do you have? Where did the leads come from? Are you promoting Clickbank offers to your list?

Those are all questions that you would have to answer ^^

    Best

Just be careful in doing email marketing, maybe the other people think that it was a spam type of email. Good luck!

I think it's a long term thing. Your emails need to build their trust in you, your credibility, your authority in the matter, your relationship with them before they will start really buying from you(r emails).... it takes time to get it moving.

Email marketing works. You must build trust with your list, provide a value and grow it.

It also depends on what niche you are in, what are you promoting, how are you promoting, etc. Once they know you better, trust you, and know that you provide quality content they will buy from you.

Build a list, establish relationship, provide quality, grow your list, promote.

    Hope that helps.

Email marketing really effective if being done in the correct way.

Start from where you get the list, how you get them into your list, what you do while them in your list and how you build relationship and trust with them. Then it will becoming an effective way of marketing.

I did make hundred dollar from my single broadcast email to a list that I have 'relationship' with and in the same time I also made no sale from a list that I did not have a 'relationship' with.

So, it depends how you use the list. Good luck!

  • There are sites where you can get subscribers according to your niche. You should try to get subscribers and then you can send them emails about your products. But try these mails not to be annoying and don't send the same mails every day. You should know how to write effective sales letters

You'll see the same thing repeated many times by some of the top marketers, "The Money Is In The List".

Without a doubt, of course email marketing works, but it depends on how you use it, for how successful your campaigns are.

I have noticed a few recently, where, after I've subscribed, sent me tons of one line emails saying, "Check this out", and nothing else. I unsubscribed from ALL of them.

You need to nurture your subscribers if you want them to buy from you. Always start by sending regular/periodic messages containing some advice, or tips of value, without automatically linking to a Clickbank product.

Slowly but surely, they will open your emails because you're helping them in some way. By building this relationship, they will gradually trust your word, and the value you're giving them free.

When you do start to direct them to offers, make absolutely sure that the products are quality ones, and something they'll probably get value from.

Once a prospective customer has bought a good product from you, he's more likely to buy from you again.

      Cheers

      Alan

    Hey Trinsle,

Eamil marketing is highly effective. Building a list is arguably the most important thing you should be doing online.

It's all about the relationship you have with your subscribers. If you look after them, build a good relationship and send them high quality content, they will take your recommendations.

If however you just send offers to them hoping to get a sale, yes it will not give you good results.

It definitely works it you have a targeted list of consumers who are genuinely interested in the products or services that you offer.. In the other hand, if you buy or rent a list of general emails, you won't have any success and your IP sender score will come way down since most of the users will click on the SPAM button..

So take the time to build your list and you will definitely see hefty returns on your email campaigns..

That's just the problem isn't it...

Just about everything that the majority of Internet marketers say works does in fact work, including email marketing.

The problem is you've given up after doing it twice... Whatever that means.

Be persistent with it and crack it and it will work for you.

    how big was the list?
not that you need a big one, but if you only had 50 people and sent them an email blast, I would't be surprised if you had no sales. yes, you can still make money from a small list like this (but not from email blasts weeks/months later) - in my experience, if you use an autoresponder and send an email every 2 days for the first week after the opt-in, you should see some sales from even the smallest list. this worries some people - but I'd argue that the lead is the most "hot" the day you get it, and will cool off every day after. If you wait too long, those who were willing to buy something 'to scratch their itch' will probably already have done so.

how was the list built? how targeted was it?
if it was from traffic to your own site or squeeze page, you should be able to match an offer with their interest pretty well.

Email marketing works, but you need to provide your subscribers with the kind of information they are interested in.No one is going to sign up to get sales pitches all the time.

First you need to build a relationship with your subscribers by providing useful information and after a while recommend a good product closely related to your information. If you make a sequence of emails to send to your list, the first 3 should be only information with no ads. This is a long term way of making money, but if you treat your subscribers well, you can earn money from your list over and over again.

2 Little known things will affect your results SUBSTANTIALLY
    1) the traffic source
    2) the optin brible

I don't care how good your offers are or how much you attempt to develop a relationship, garbage in, garbage out...

Try to fill your list with people who are proven repeat buyers....develop an optin bribe that's similar to what they want to buy.

If yo build a list with a freebie called "21 Ways to Sit at Home and Do Nothing & Make Money" - don't be surprised if these people don't buy your product. They are looking for something for nothing - which means your product too....

    Hope that helps...
