Google Plus posts landing in top 10 organic google search?

Have I just not seen this before? Is anyone else in here targeting google organic searches with your google plus posts?

I did a search for "Workout Songs" that gets 165K global monthly.

At number 10 organic is Mr. Cutts post that he made on July 9th.

Any thoughts on this?

Just another opportunity to cloud the results on a Google search.

    Change is good.

Yes, I noticed this as well. I don't know how
    long this would last though.

I'm getting kind of tired of playing the Big G's game....when Buzz/Wave/Plus came I spent so much time getting it optimized to ride the wave to organic search land...

    sigh

You don't have to play their game by their rules, to win some of their traffic.

I tried and looked but didn't see anything for that keyword.

I have noticed one thing for certain though. Here at home I have 4 computers running different versions of Windows and using different browsers.

If I check search results for a keyword, I get a completely different result every time depending on the computer I am using.

When I am working at my girlfriend's house I get completely different results yet again. Makes me wonder about how Google is targeting/delivering search results these days.

It makes it really tricky to track progress and I notice a lot of content coming and going. I wonder how +1 will do?

Indeed it has become increasingly difficult to tack results in google organic search. Physical location, your personal search history/behavior, who knows how many other factors there are that we don't know about.

Honestly, I've heard a lot of news saying that Google+ isn't really working that well, and isn't doing much for Webmasters. Also, it seems to change search engine ranking specifically for you, which results in skewed searches.

For example, I clicked the Google+ button for a website while I was logged into AdSense. I searched the keyword, and the website (which was originally in the fifth position) was on top. So I thought that Google+ was actually really good.

However, when I logged out and searched the keyword again, the website was back in the fifth position. There was about a minute between the two searches, so there is no other way to describe the ranking change.
