On page 1, 100+ views a day, no sales

My website is www.how-to-run-fast.com and it is currently ranked on page one of google for 6 different keywords and gets well over 100 views a day. I am selling an ebook on the website and I make a sale maybe once every other week. My question to you experts is how do I better monetize this website? Should I try to sign up for adsense and put those ads on the site too? Should I do something else? I appreciate the help.

You need to start a legit site that isn't just a sales page. Get approved on that legit site and then just start putting your adsense on every site you own

If I were you, I'd definitely add some quality content. Honestly, if I was looking for information on how to run faster, I wouldn't order it from your site. It doesn't build trust.

If you can't write, you can outsource it. It will cost you either time or money, but some quality, informative, unique content (10+ articles) will take you a long way.

btw, you did a good job ranking this one-page salespage.

Are you suggesting that I basically revamp the site? Should I just have ten or so articles on their that all link to different products?

I am fairly new to the IM game, but if it was me, I would have 5-10 quality articles on there. Each article would cover a different aspect of how to run fast with the main article (which resides on the homepage) linking to your product and the supporting articles linking back to your main article.

People don't want to be asked to make a purchase decision as soon as they get to your site, they want to see that the site they are buying from is credible first (articles lend credibility to your site).

Also, interlinking various articles should help increase your SERPs (page one is great, but rank 1 on page one is even better) and if you focus the secondary articles on long tail keywords (IE. What can I do to run faster, what kind of exercises can make me run faster, what kind of training do I need to run faster, etc... note, these are examples, use google keywords tool to find actual long tail keywords that are being searched for). Just remember, a long tail keyword is the way a person would actually search for something on google.

Those are a few suggestions, but remember I am a relative newbie as well so someone may be able to expand a little on what I've mentioned (or totally correct me if I am way off base )

You need stats on how long they stay on your page and maybe get some javascript that detects if they even scroll down. To be honest, in my newbie opinion you'd do much better writing quality content and having links to products throughout, like running shoes etc...if you have amazon product can pretty link "check out these reviews".
