What's your ideal length for a sales page?

Some of them are pretty short, others could take an hour to finish. Which is better, short and to the point, or jam-packed with information and pitches?

It all depends on how much you are charging for your product.

The higher the price, typically, the longer the sales message needs to be in order to convince your prospect to buy!

    Hope that helps boss.

For me, the ideal length is long enough to say what I need to say, and not a word more. I will add that the higher the price, the more information is usually needed to give the prospect enough ammo to make the right decision.

I prefer a very small sales page.

in the header of the page : Problem
in the footer : the solution, and a video.

the point of a salesletter is really to replace a face-to-face sales person.

And an effective sales presentation is dependent on overcoming objections.

In person, you can solicit objections, as well as being able to detect them by the behavior of the other person. During your presentation.

With a salesletter, you lose that feedback. So You must brainstorm them all, and make sure your salesletter addresses them all.

Show them all of the benefits...
    overcome any/all possible objections...
    provide social proof...

... and the sales letter will end up being as long as it needs to be

I think not too long is best. One thing i would advise to NOT have in there is those rubbish testimonials that last for about two page lengths and everyone knows are crap.

Sell your product by explaining why the person needs to product and how it can help them. find some USPs (Unique Selling Points) if you have none then you need a new product or your conversions will be very low.

In truth, there are only four necessary components to a sales page:

    1. A full description of what the product does
    2. How the product solves a problem
    3. The price
    4. The payment portal

Telling exactly how long?...it’s impossible to do so. It will vary from product to audience, but as a general guideline to go along here are two things:

    * Everything you write has to be relevant to the offer
    * Everything you write has to make them want it OR increase your credibility

I tend to build my sales pages short and to the point.
When I am viewing a sales page I tend to avoid long ones as they often sound fake and provide the same information over and over again.

Video sales pages are also great!
