Help setup Amazon Associates on Blogger

Does anyone here have found a workaround on how to integrate an Amazon affiliate ID on Blogger? I'm talking about the old interface since the new interface don't have this option. I just got approved by Amazon and I'm trying to integrate my account with Blogger with no success.

Everytime I click that "SET UP AMAZON ASSOCIATES" button I end up on the same page again. I found out that this is a known issue with no solution yet.

Not sure what you are trying to do?

If you are using Amazon with Blogger can you not just take your affiliate link for the product and enter it as a hyperlink?

Same if you want to add it to a pic or banner - add the pic first and then make a hyperlink and add your Amazon link.

    Hey Mark,

I just read this at their forum:

"Since Blogger is based in California and they are no longer working with Associates in California because of a tax issue they are shutdown this gadget and may be working on a fix but it is not a high priority"

However you still manually insert the links yourself.

Is that so? Maybe that's the reason why I got the confirmation from Associates in Canada. So I guess I'll have to wait and do with the manual linking then. Thanks for that info.

    Thanks for replying.

What I want to do is to be able to post this kind of thing (not sure what to call) on my sidebar (image is from Amazon):

I got the Amazon widget in my Posting page but it does not have any products listed like this one (image is from Amazon):

I'll try to apply your suggestion if I can't make this feature work on Blogger.

Numerous times Blogger has simply deleted blogs with no explanation and no apparent reason. Investing time and money into promoting a blogger site is a very risky enterprise. It would be wise to think about buying your own domain name and hosting so that YOU are in control, rather than Google.

What if you are also planning to monetize with AdSense? What will happen to the content created by you in case Google delete your blog? Last but not the least; say your blog was deleted by Google and you moved your content to a self hosting site but what's the guarantee that Google will index that site? Even if they index, will they approve you for AdSense?
