I know this is something to be refined... but i know google likes to see them and its probly better to just have something up...

Where do i start, is there like a basic script/template i can copy for my marketing/internet consultant companies website?

Give folks a chance to respond. I don't know what country you're in but in the US when you first posted it, it was almost 4 am when folks are sleeping. I could understand if several hours had passed but not barely 30 minutes.

I know you can Google and get templates that way.

Usually for my privacy policy and terms of service

For the first time I would just take samples from both
        competing and non competing sites.

I would not plagiarize their info I would just customize their info

Until I had my own general template
that I could modify when I needed a new one

(but if you take a couple of lines from almost any
privacy policy or terms of service and put them into your
favorite search engine you will notice that they
are most of the time the very similar)

(but if you need the who, what, when, were and
how on privacy polices and terms of service
just do a quick search on "how to write a ____________ ")

        Good Luck

If you search in Google you will find many free privacy policies that you can then customize.

One more thing, if you are using Wordpress there are free plugins that already have generic policies.

hey guys, i found this site that will create a basic html page with terms of service and privacy policy... all you gotta do is put in your company info... looks pretty cool, am trying it out now.

but can someone tell me how to add the pages to wordpress so that they dont show up in the menu, but are accessible links in the footer. i am using the simple hooks plugin, but how do i create a wordpress page so that its not in the main nav menu?

think i got it sorted, just added a private page and then linked to that from the footer so the page doesnt show up in the menu.

is this way people normally do it?

Private pages won't show up to someone when they click it unless they are logged in.
