Analysis has Paralyzed Essence! Critical Hit! It's Super Effective! 42 damage!

I've got a site, and it's not great, but it's passable. It's here. I'm waiting for a graphics person I know to make me a banner, and when he does, I'm changing the background color to go with the banner.

I think my sales copy is good, but I'm not entirely sure. I'd appreciate any advice from the experts.

But the real question is -- what should I do next? I have a product, I'm waiting for approval from Clickbank, I've written a dozen articles for EZA, and I don't have enough money (or traffic) to sign up for Aweber and start a list (yet). I've got a domain (www.how2eatfood.com), but I don't have money for more than a month of hosting (Yeah, I'm really literally that broke). Is it important enough to have that root-level domain name that I should pay for it?

I'm rebuilding my computer this weekend, and I'm acquiring a webcam so I can do some video marketing (Thank you, Lakshay Behl, for writing Explosional Video Marketing -- it's very promising!). I have some faith in that, and I'm pretty good on camera, so bam.

But I've just got analysis paralysis at this point. Too many ideas. I've started a short report to give away as a viral thing and hope to bring traffic, but I'm not really sure what to do with it once it's written...

Just too much stuff! So, my appeal to those of you who have been here and gotten past it: what should I do next?

Do you have anykind of autoresponder?
If not, try: Autosenders.com it's free...
Or, sign up for a good autoresponder like aweber or getresponse. They have a 30 day free trail...most others do too. Hopefully that would hold you over till some sales came in...
Try creating a blog, promote your product from it, and you can post your articles there too...
There are a bunch of free hosting sites too...just do a search for "free hosting".....there are many at $1.00 - $2.00 a month too. I can not say if these are any good or not, I have never used any, but it would get you going at least until some sales came in.
Also, check the warrior forum here....I saw yesterday someone had a link for $250.00 in google adwords for creating a new account....that might help too...
If you need to make splash or squeeze pages, there are a bunch of free programs out there that are real good. blinkweb.com is one I tried & liked...
    (all links are non-affiliate)

lots of stuff to do that are free..hope these help
    good luck

Break up your site content into 350-word blog posts and migrate the whole thing to Blogger.com. You can use your site name as a sub-domain there.

You can host your blog for free, and Blogger is an easy hook up with Google AdWords (cause Google owns Blogger) for some extra $$. And you won't have to pay a penny for hosting.

Don't forget to ping every time you blog.

When you start generating some revenue, you can always build a stand-alone web site with your own domain and pay for your hosting.

Warriors Les Gibbon and Kelvin Brown both have autoresponders available much cheaper than aweber or getresponse but they do the job.

I would not suggest a free autoresponder as the rate of those emails being routed to spam boxes is very high.

You have to have a domain and hosting. Check out Newbie Network Hosting by warrior Kim Standerline - great pricing there for new marketers.

I don't agree about using blogger - you can't do a full sales page there and you are at google's mercy as they can delete the blog any time they want.

Your sales page copy is hard to read because of the use of different fonts.
It needs better formatting, and best to use the color as background and show black text on white background for the sales copy. Smaller images might work better and including some bullet points helps with readability.

You've done the hardest part - completed the product. Now work on the sales page and find enough money for hosting and a low cost autoresponder.

You can also use free tools such as building a squidoo lens, social bookmarking, and submitting lots of good articles to get traffic once your product is approved by CB. You can build a blog in a folder on your main domain that will also help spread the word about your product and your lifestyle (or food style) and help bring traffic to the sales page.

          Pertaining to the autoresponder.

You can go to icontact.com and sign up for their 15 day free trial. It will give you an autoresponder for a little while and hopefully after 15 days you will have the money to pay for the autoresponder.

          It's a thought.

          Good luck,
          Ben

Aweber and others have longer free trials than that -- but I've always been told to not bother with them until I have decent traffic coming to the site. Right now I'm averaging 4/day...no where near enough.

I'll start on the Squidoo-like pages while I'm waiting for Clickbank, and I'll definately check out those Warrior offers you mentioned, Kay. Thank you!

      ? Aweber doesn't have a free trial I don't think...

They advertise it like one, but I am pretty sure it is just a 30 day guarantee. You still pay upfront.

Even though your not getting enough traffic to your site for the AR, you could be on forums with your list in your sig.
