How Big is Facebook Becoming? What if...

Facebook just announced a host of new features, most importantly Spotify and Netflix integration as well as a realtime Ticker.

- If Netflix picks up on Facebook on a large scale.. will this lower the traffic to Youtube? Would I really want to watch Fail compilations on youtube when I could be watching a proper TV show?
(it wont be available in the US for a while though)

- How many people will have Facebook open on their browsers and phones even more so if they can listen to music on it?

- If more people are on Facebook... whats stopping them from integrating with Bing and having a big ass search bar. Picture this... Facebook makes a deal with Bing to "use" their search results and integrate them into a clean Facebook UI..

* facebook could have unmonetized results for a year to pull people .. I mean Bing's search results aren't too bad compared to Google and even if they get a 10% share away from Google it'd be huge!

* After a year, they could monetize it.. imagine being able to target ads so much better than Google simply by having so much data on each user.

* Imagine your friends being able to give recommendations based on what you're searching in realtime because it might show up on the live ticker.

No wonder Google has that big ass arrow pointing towards Google plus. They badly need it to work!

I like Google and I hope they make Google Plus succeed.. For some reason I wouldn't want Facebook to control everything eventually.
