Bought Both- Which Do you like Better?

I just bought a .net and .org exact match domain. Which do you prefer to use? I know it probably doesn't matter. I just feel weird using a .org when it is not an organization..know what i mean?

Also, for those of you who read this, go check out godaddy's deal section. You can buy a .org for $6.99.

I wouldn't want to use .org for business niches. Just doesn't seem to be a match. For some niches, though, such as disaster or green, .org would seem to fit a little better.

If you are using the domain in your literature or in anything using a human audience, then use the .net as it is more likely to be better remembered of the two. Think of Richrd Branson's virgin.NET

If the domain is for SEO purposes, then I can't help. I have only a few .org suffixes, as to many of the others and I have not done enough tracking and testing of my .org sites, to give a definative opinion.

Best of luck with your choice - and don't forget to piont your unused domain, rather than leave it idle.

      Just my thoughts,

      Jeff.

Yeah definitely for audience purposes, so I think I will use the .net. It will be an education site for preschool if that helps anyone make a good decision.

I would go with org then...IMHO, it gives off a "non-profit" feel (mostly because I've seen a lot of them use that suffix).

.net is like .info...kinda bush league.

Jeff, what are you talking about "piont your unused domains"? I have quite a few unused myself...

For that niche I would probably build on the .org and have the .net redirect.

I have had great success with orgs. I don't hesitate to use them. I can get them ranked pretty fast.

I agree, I also have had success with orgs. In fact my best performing niche site is an org.
