Paypal Transaction Declined? - Help

Recently my paypal transaction got declined and the only source I think that could be coming from was my site. I haven't add a credit card yet because I haven't got one and I didn't know I had to. My question is, is there a way to know what transaction happened? I can't see records of that failed transaction which I believe comes from my selling since I didn't buy anything and if so I want to know how I can claim that transaction...

By the way,

I assume this happened

Customer buys -> got my product -> transaction failed and money returned to customer -> got a letter saying transaction failed without a record of it

I am hoping that didn't happen.

If you can help I would appericiate, thanks !

    Did you buy something, or sell something when you get this message ?

    was this from the paypal site or in an email?

    when you login to paypal, you see no record of the transaction at all?

      Yes, I am confused theres no transaction and the email is from paypal.

    i deduce that when the transaction failed, your buyer could not have gotten the product.

    Hence, there is no record of it.

    you are sure this is not a phising email i presume. basically you are making sure to login to paypal.com and not some other domain by clicking a link in the email?

      I know its not. It's from paypal themselves.

    then its a problem only paypal can help you get to the bottom of. put in support tickets and call them up.
