Freeware to Zip Files?

INTERNET MARKETING

Is there freeware to zip files? Everything I'm running across costs. They're not terribly expensive but I'm pretty sure I've seen free versions. I just can't seem to find them right now.

Besides 7-zip, if you are using WinXP or higher, it's built-in, but MS calls it Compressed Folders.

The best Free archive program is 7-zip which you can download from 7-Zip

If you want the very best of the best, then go with WinZip. It compresses far tighter than any other tool and is even quicker. It's relatively inexpensive at only $29.95. You can either buy it or download the 30 day trial English version from WinZip - Windows Zip Utility - Zip Files, Unzip Files

  I'm not sure where you got the idea that WinRAR is Free. It never has been! It costs $29 right now for a license. You can however download a trial version and use all its features for 30 days.

  Just tried 7zip...it does exactly what I want it too was relatively easy to figure out for a non-techie girl.
  
  I wanted the freeware b/c I'm trying to save up for some expensive software for another project. Otherwise I would have gone with WinZip that I've used before and liked.
