An article I read on MSN about craiglist scammers and affiliate marketing....no wonder people have a bad impression of internet marketers........interesting read.

    More like the dark underbelly.

    People have a bad impression of Internet marketers because outlets like this insist on calling these scam artists "affiliate marketers" as if they represented the whole group.

    You're right, though. It was an interesting read.

    Interesting read and yeah - "dark underbelly" more like it.

    Affiliate marketing does have a bad name and it's really a shame for those of us who do it legit.

    There are scams everywhere - Say someone wrote an article about a person who pulled a scam selling fake insurance - would they refer to it as the murky world of insurance salesmen?

    And I love the hypocritical negative option, free trial ads they run alongside the article.

    Article was great. The ads make them no better than the people they are complaining about.
