Getting started?

I am new here too. But with what ever little exploring I did, looks like, there is some affiliate marketing is going on, but its mostly about learning how to promote website and get more traffic to your site. Ofcourse SEO is major part of it. This forum help with learning doing it the right way.

Hey and welcome. It's funny you mention your story because I was the same way. I signed up, forgot about it, and didin't come back until 3 years later! :-) The WF is an internet marketing forum (think it's probably #1) where like-minded people can come, get information, and share ideas. Welcome (back) to the Warrior Forum. You'll find there really is a HUGE amount of information in this forum, and there are a number of warriors with experience levels ranging from complete novice to very well established BIG names in internet marketing. That's one thing that makes this a great place to be, the diversity of knowledge.
There are those who freely share information on just about any topic you care to ask a question about. As there are so many levels of experience, you may get a wide range of possibly conflicting answers to your questions, but you'll probably get something useful in your responses.
The flip side of all that is that many warriors will be very guarded about specifics of their online businesses, because they don't want extra direct competition. As an example, they might give you generalized answers like "Do your keyword research", but they are less likely to share their exact keywords used. It makes sense, because who wants to give away their "trade secrets"?
You'll also run across a number of confusing terms and abbreviations like PPC (pay per click), CTR (click through rate), or IMers (Internet marketers)these are just a few examples. If you don't know what something means, don't be afraid to ask.
What you're interested in "...building/selling blogs and packages..." is usually referred to as "flipping" sites. A great site for buying/selling them is called flippa.com As for building blogs, most warriors will agree that WordPress is probably the best platform for a blog, because of the ability to alter/customize them using plugins and widgets.
