I like Hostgator, they are relatively inexpensive. I only pay about $9 a month for their baby plan. They have excellent tech support, and are very dependable.

I would have said Host Gator but I am now pretty bold on Certified Hosting. these days. Just set up an account there and I am blown away by the support. I also know their data center is one of the best in the world.

  I think all major hosting provider provides 27X7 technical support through chat or email. Hostgator is the biggest hosting provider and I never seen any problem with them and they also provide live tech support...so obviously you may go with hostgator.

I have tried them all, but to me, Media Temple was the best. However, it is more pricing then Blue Host or Hostgator.

HostGator has always been super reliable and responsive, which in my opinion is the most important thing. They are pretty cheap also, which starting out is huge.

I think it's a great host to start with, and use until/if you outgrow it.

  I've used Bluehost and I love their support! They are also very accurate in their responses and know exactly what I mean.
  
  With GoDaddy they response relatively fast after I send out a support ticket, but sometimes they don't seem to understand what I mean very well. Going back and forth thus takes a while to solve a glitch.

I've only ever used HostGator but in my experience, they are top notch. Whenever I enter a live chat with a problem, I always leave with a solution, they have a great support team.

We use HostGator. Everything has been smooth and the live chat is always fast. I think the longest I had to wait in the queue in for live chat was maybe 3 minutes.

depends what kind of hosting you require, for example if you're looking in the vps range and above, definitely check out wired tree, couldnt ask for a better support
