What is the video equivalent of EZA?

A lot of information products that are coming out these days are focusing heavily on video marketing. I haven't actually bought any of these but I've read through quite a few sales letters and all the stats and proofs seem very impressive (of course they do; they're on a sales letter! )

There's been this talk recently about how video marketing is slowly but surely killing article marketing. I don't believe it completely (being a writer myself) but it's a fact that is hard to ignore as well! Video marketing seems to be faster, easier and more efficient! I can imagine how convenient videos must seem to people who get depressed over the sight of yet another long article! So I wanted to do some tinkering with video marketing. The problem is, I don't know where to start.

For article marketing, a good place (if not the best) to begin is EzineArticles.com. What is its equivalent for videos? I guess the most obvious answer would be Youtube but is there any video directory that is more like EZA, with detailed statistics for the video creators? I did a simple Google search but it didn't return any pleasing results. Could a few experienced Warriors please give me their suggestions over here?

    I think I understand you.

    You mean an authority site that you can "leech" off to get higher rankings in the search engines.

    This did used to work well - however I would suggest you build your own sites with both article marketing and video marketing and use directories as an addition to your efforts.

    If you want some good results with video marketing to start you off on the right track, make sure you make some quality videos and then use TubeMogul.com to blast the content to all the major video sites for free.

    I think he means a place to get video content for websites, or for content creators, get videos syndicated. It would work just like EZA, but with video content instead of text content.

      Yes, I meant a place like EZA where I can get my content (in this case - videos) syndicated, and more importantly, get the all-important statistics to track that content!

    From what you are explaining, the answer to your question is simply YouTube.

    People syndicate the videos and embed them on their pages and the authors have access to detailed statistics... just like EZA but for video....


    or am I missing somthing here?

      No you're not missing anything but perhaps I am....does Youtube let users track how many people have embedded the video(s) on their websites? I never looked at Youtube as a site that provided detailed statistics. If that's the case I've been totally blind!

        If you are on your video listing page, there are view counts next to each video. Click on it for detailed statistics.

          Demographics is useful
          And Hot Spots shows you the exact time where people stopped watching the video

            I had a very good video there and had like 20+ people click on my links everyday. They decided to take it down (not sure why) and that made me feel that this may not be the best way to go.

            Maybe they hate videos that are real and talk about MAKING MONEY ONLINE. I am not the only one that had their video taken down. I know of other guys and gals that had lots of traffic from YouTube but at some point some YouTube employee came and took it down because they did not like that it was getting lots of free traffic.
            Well, it's not just Youtube but also other sites like Facebook that do not look upon too kindly on the IM/MMO content on their sites! I've seen such content being taken down quite a few times as well.

            Thanks for the screenshot I guess instead of searching for some other service which offers better statistics but isn't well-known, it is better to stick to Youtube for now

    I still think that YouTube is by far the best out there and your video can come up on the search engines pretty fast.

    I do not recommend that you only use them because they may get your video deleted at some point.

    Any of the big video sites would be the equivalent of EZA. In some ways, better than EZA, since there's not all the requirements to post. However, that's also a negative as most videos are filled with junk.

      I don't think they "hate videos that are real and talk about MAKING MONEY ONLINE." I think they hate scammers and scumbags who jeopardize their livelihood.

      They just don't have the time, experience or inclination to differentiate between the two.

      As far as I know. there are few of videos that's like eza are blip.tv and vimeo.com

      "equivalent of EZA?", you mean, In term of topic/categories, articles, resource link, etc.. turn into to person "talking head" front of video and have them follow video lead to money site?

      my guess is that youtube is a ok-ok solution, no click action to money site. I only think you will either needed to create videos from scratch, possible intros videos and end video along with linkable to money sites (click bank, cj, CPA, whatever..)

      I guess youtube doesn't like it ? Any1 can comments on this ?
