My opt-in on sales page

INTERNET MARKETING

I have a sales page on my website with an opt-in for free guide. I am creating a blog pointing to sales letter on my website. Is it a good idea to put the same opt-in on the blog page offering same free guide :confused:

Do not put your op-tin on your sales page
Start with an opt-in page with a free gift.
Put the same opt-in form on your blog

Then Direct them to your sales page after they request your free gift

What Jeanne is saying makes sense. If your opt-in is on your sales page, it may distract from buying and you end up getting subscribers instead - not so bad, as long as that is what you want.

  Take the optin form off the sales page, which might affect your conversion rate.
  
  Keep it for a seperate squeeze page, or/and a blog.

  Well, sometimes I let people opt-in to get the first chapter of a report or guide, that way they're on my list and they may be even more enticed to buy the guide.
  
  I don't do this on all of my sites but it sees to work pretty well. I tend to do it for higher priced products as well.
