Cant wrap my mind arund advertising.

I am new to marketing and want to get started. I have the basic concept
but cant seen to get any kind of drive.

      hah.. that's a very broad question, er.. statement.

      On the internet, ANYONE can create and promote their own site and potentially make money from it if they get enough traffic and convert it.

      You can make money by promoting ads, affiliate products or even by selling your own stuff.

      Nowadays, SEO is one of the most popular ways to drive traffic to your site. Create relevant content for keywords that people are searching for and then build quality backlinks to your site and articles. This costs absolutely nothing but your time.

      Internet marketing isn't for everyone, nobody can "give you" that drive - you need to be able to motivate yourself and be persistent, especially through the beginning when you wont be making much money at all.

      To be honest the only real knowledge i have is how to copy and past some ad
      copy that some one else wrote and promote it through free traffic exchanges and safelists. I surfed for over 18 months now and followed a "leader" that lead me nowhere.i have picked up a few skills not many. but i really think i can make it as a marketer

    The basic concept of advertising is this:

    Goal: Cost of advertising < Revenue generated by advertising

    Regardless of anything you do, always try to meet that goal.

        Dont copy and past as your add will looks like millions of others, you need to find your niche and learn how to create original content. the actual advertising is the final step.

        Have you completed the following steps.

        what are you interested in or have knowledge about, find an interest that you can create an income from.

        what skills is any do you have if any

        Research your market and Competition by using Google and Alexa

        Find Good Keywords and Keyword Phrases.

        Set up a blog or Website with your prime keyword as a title and add good original keyword specif information.

        Then and only then are you in position to start advertising.
