WHAT INTERNET MARKETERS CAN LEARN FROM BARACK OBAMA

Whether you are Democrat or Republican, you have to agree Obama's internet marketing skills really paid off for him! So what can we internet marketers learn from his marketing strategies? Well, I have a few things that I'll list, and would like to hear your thoughts as well!

Website:
His official website was not just designed nicely, navigating within the site was a pleasure and information was easily accessible. Yeah, a no-brainer I know, but still a good reminder.

Social networking
:
He captured the social news and social media very well. He obviously realized where the youth are, that's where marketing dollars should go. Did you know that the social media network developed by the Barack Obama campaign created more than 3,500,000 friends for Barack Obama? Wow!

Search Engine Optimization
:
Try searching for words like "Barack" and "Obama" in any of the four search engines you bring up first on the list the presidential campaign website of Barack Obama. He made great use of tags!

Grass-roots marketing:
Lawn signs, drop cards, rubber stamps, flyers, tv ads, bumperstickers- all referenced his website.

No wonder the guy won! Any other observations? . . .

I've read a thread about this also here, you can search for this first.

The OP of that thread said if you input the keyword website in google you'd find Obama's site in the 4th position.

    He's a 21st century president for the 21st century.

Seems like the only crazy people in the country are the good people of the south.

    Seriously...

One thing we can learn from his online and offline campaigns is that he was everywhere. I mean everytime I turned around there was Obama whether it was TV, radio, bumper stickers, the internet - all over the place - looking for prospects.

Which relates to what John Reese meant when he said to own more of the internet.

Have your marketing messages and/or content all over the place in the niches you operate.

There are hundreds of places to plant your marketing messages ( content ) and plenty of free and paid submitters to help you do just that.
