Not really as long as you know how to do it right.

just be sure that your ad will contain all the keywords that will target your niche... this way you won't be spending money on those who are not likely to be interested in what your page is about.

    Hi,

Your page has some serious problems. Let me ask you something, why would anyone give you a like if your page does not look professional at all?

Do this, get a fan page designer to work on your fan page, prepare a free report and give it away in return of the like and promote your page with all of the known internet marketing systems that are out there.

You'll start to see more likes.

    Regards
    Mario

I thought Twiends stopped doing Facebook likes?

I've heard about AddSocials.com, have it bookmarked but haven't tried it yet. Could be worth checking out. More people will like you if you have a higher 'like' count. When you have less than 100, people are pretty skeptical.

Put your Facebook button above the fold. I don't even see it on your site. If I were on your site and wanted to like it, I wouldn't be able to because it's either hidden or not there. I think most people who get a lot of likes put it either close to the header or in the header itself.

Your site itself is slick and nice to look at. That's certainly a plus for getting likes. It just lacks that "like" button!

On my 15" wide screen laptop the page uses scroll bars and it's hard to navigate. Otherwise I think you have done well and good luck, just try the suggestions above and I can not tell you much as I have little experience with facebook pages.

Depends if you want quality real likes or low quality fake likes. To get quality likes, follow all the advice above and make the page really engaging. Then you can run ads for very little.

If you want fake, then in addition to fiverr, look at Synnd.com it's an automated service using real accounts. It will add likes but not buyers.

I totally agree with this. I've never understood why people want the fake "likes." It's not a popularity contest. Good content = Facebook likes = Sales

I couldn't agree more. I tried going the "fiverr" route once. Needless to say, the quality of the likes was very low. Although I got my likes, it really didn't get me anywhere besides the vanity url. "Legit" is usually the best way to go when you want to focus on actually making sales.

I am actually stunned that so few people came even close to providing the obvious answer.

If you want to get more "likes", make your stuff more "likeable".

You cannot buy valuable friends, but you can get them for free if you are "likeable" to your audience.

several ways, you have to advertise your Facebook page JUST like your website, use other social networks to do it. I got over 2,000 "likes" in a couple of weeks by putting a widget on my site and using Twitter.

Okay, here's is an issue though. I just clicked your Facebook page and not to be mean (it's not my character) but it didn't look to appealing. You couldn't even tell what the page was about. Put a better graphic (design) and keep updating the page.

My (very unglamorous, non-"push-button", real work) advice?

    - Work hard to provide my website readers with LOADS of valuable content
    - Start up an email list - and keep in touch as often as you can manage
    - Add a fan page widget, above the fold on your site
    - Let everyone know about it (via blog, email list etc etc)
    - Post to other people's fan pages AS your fan page identity - ie "EveryDayReviews" (this is an option Facebook added a little while back - pretty cool). Make sure you are adding valuable comments to other people's pages of course!
-Put together a kickass report or some of nice "gift" - again offering REAL value
-Hold some kind of contest (actually saw a WSO not too long ago for a plugin that helps with this, I believe)

The big question here is - do you want a high Facebook "like" number so you can look cool and impress people - or do you want to build up a real community of raving fans?
For long-term business success, the second option is definitely the way to go!

    B.

I see many people against using 'fake' likes. Personally it's something I always do, here's why.

    1) You get to secure the URL. Using a shortened URL will most likely lower click-thru, and using a new Facebook page URL looks terrible. Get 25 fake likes to your page so you can have a good looking URL that you can promote.

    2) More likes = more likes! It's called social proof. If other people like your fan page, new visitors will be more likely to like it as well. If you have very little likes it looks spammy. You could have the most valuable giveaway ever, but if you have very little likes not that many people will trust you enough.

Now don't get me wrong, Facebook pages go viral all the time without using fake likes. But these people either already have a high-traffic source, have funds for Facebook ads, or wait a lot longer to get a following.

In my opinion there's nothing wrong with jump-starting your fan page likes and speeding up the whole process. Just a thought for anyone debating whether to go that route or not.

And like others have said, provide something valuable. Otherwise all the likes in the world won't get you anywhere.

You could post videos about popular topics related to your niche. If you do this, make sure you include a description so people can find your videos via the Facebook search engine. If you post interesting videos, people are sure to "Like" you.

You can try to use FB advertising as someone above mentioned and then provide something of value in exchange of the users clicking 'like' on your fan page.

You can shared link to relevant fan pages and like them. You can also start encouraging/telling your facebook friends to give likes in your page. This will surely work. I already done this stuff just to earn my own username I want for you can only use username when reaching 25 likes. I also put like box on my blogs to let readers like and also tweeted. Do these things when you're just starting out. Don't forget to post updates and communicate to your fans everyday if you can. Make your page lively and more engaging. Tags photos and post irrelevant updates sometimes that is popular these days to let fans interact. Start telling your friends now and the rest number of likes will follow.

    Cheers,

Maybe you can work harder to make more people know you and bring them more useful info that they need. If you are trying to help people, i think you will then get more "likes".

I'm not going to advertise any sites but, as marknel said, there are great 'Facebook like' services.

I got 1,000 (more, actually) twitter follows for $17 using legitimate paid methods. Works a treat. Best $17 I've spent in a while!

Conduct a "facebook like" contest. there are a number of sites online where you can post your contest. Users will like you page to enter the contest. you might get about 150 likes like that.
