Best method to promote Clickbank Products?

What is the best method to promote Clickbank products?

I have tried Article marketing and I have only made 1 sale out of 36 URL clicks which earned a commission of $ 4.76.

What other methods are used?

Thanks

1 sale in 36 clicks = an approx ration of 2.7% of your visitors purchasing. I wouldnt complain at that.

    Thanks Global365,

I think that is a much better idea. What would be the best method to promote Clickbank products? I have a website and I put a link and image of a product that pays $22 on the bottom of the page, but nothing yet.

    Is there a better way?

Thats a great conversion rate considering article marketing. If you want real good conversions then you should try PPC.

You can give each of your links a unique tracking ID when you are creating you hop link.

For example look at the link below:

http://youraffid.publisher.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=PRODUCT1The part in red is your tracking id which will show up on your stats inside your account.

Yes, 2.7% is not bad at all. What you need to do now is write more articles and get them out there. Keep creating and submitting. Also, don't just stick with one product. Target say 3 - 5 nad see which ones convert more sales.

    Keep it up.

    Oscar,

Don't forget to send them to a lead capture page to get their email for follow ups before sending them to the offer.

That's a pretty good conversion rate. Try finding a product in the same niche that has a bit higher payout.

    I wouldn't complain about a 2.7% conversion though.

    Good stuff

I have found a product in the same niche that pays about $10, but the sales page sucks. I dont think anyone will ever purchase from it although the seller boasts about over eight years of success.

2.7 not bad, but if you really want to increase your return then promote through a new blog and do some keyword research, start an ad campaign, use the articles you have submitted and re write them for your blog, get some related CB products to compliment your main product.

The details of the product that I am promoting now are:

    $/sale: $4.63 | Future $: - | Total $/sale: $4.63 | %/sale: 75.0% | %refd: 72.0% | grav: 3.81

My other option is this one, but I feel the sales page is terrible:

    $/sale: $9.62 | Future $: - | Total $/sale: $9.62 | %/sale: 70.0% | %refd: 80.0% | grav: 0.78

Which is the better one to promote?

With such poor payouts I would collect optins and mail them other offers.

I find that eBay Classified Ads, among others, are a good way of making sales with clickbank products, I was promoting a computer repair product and made about 6 sales, turning over a decent profit of around £120, again it's trial and error, try different products and some will flop but others can be little gold mines

Yep, eBay Classified ads are usually around $9.95 a month for posting on eBay USA, however Local Services categories in the UK are free and I have made sales using both, on average I usually get around 100-300 views for each ad.

First off I would definitely promote a more expensive product with a higher payout. The hardest thing to do is to get someone to take action.... It takes just as much action to buy something for $10 as for $50

USFreeAds seems to get a lot of sales. It's like 9.95 a month to be able to put your link in it but that does really well. Also press releases I hear do well but I don't know about that. free-press-release.com is suppose to be a good one for that. Good luck!

I'm also in the same boat....odd sales only now and then... It makes me seriously doubt all those people who claim they are making loads of Clickbank. Also, I'll never be sure if CB is undercutting any commissions...since we can't track the clicks and success rate on CB itself.

Of course, I don't use a PPC campaign to promote CB full scale, but I have websites that get organic traffic. I stick a banner in the sidebar...poor results.

Oscar, how do you know your conversion rate is 2.7%?
      {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[428621].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author Oscar D
    Thanks guys.

Dellco someone worked out my conversion rate by taking the amount of clicks that I had from article marketing and dividing it by the amount of sales I made (only 1). But that conversion rate is getting lower and lower because I have had much more click, but still no more sales.

Thanks Julian Poole, I am going to take a look at that site now.

The only best way is to test each stream of advertising. If your advertising is measured after a bit of testing you can focus on the profitable ones. Each advertising stream is different depending on what you are marketing.

You're doing really well with a 2.7% conversion rate that's for sure. I think you'd need to increase your article writing frequency and push them out as quickly as possible, and try varing the products your promoting. As Barry said keep targeting products with $20 upwards payout to make it worth your while, try 3 - 5 and see which ones convert more sales. Just my 2 cents! :-)
