Is adult ad marketing worth it?

I recently, with the help of a Virtual Assistant, conducted market research into adult/classified ads on Craigslist.

What prompted me to do this was information from 2 WSOs that I have purchased in the past - I see adult advertisements everywhere and I wanted to backwards-engineer the process.

My Efforts:
With the help of a VA hired from Odesk, this consisted of replying to an ad, then corresponding with ad posters to determine which ads and offers were in vogue.

Needless to say, some response were actual service offerings (escort/massage), some were immediate affiliate link responses, and some were not replied to.

There were 8 ads total.

Here are the top links that were emailed to me and the VA (who was using a dummy email account that I had previously created).

So there you have it.

A moderately experienced individual who had done work with Adult ads/classifieds recently informed me that Adult ad work is too time consuming and not worth the expense. You can judge that for yourself I guess.

Although not as comprehensive as a WSO, I hope this information will benefit anyone else that may have been curious about adult classified ads and affiliate links.

PS - the VA charged me just under $50USD for approximately 10 hours worth of research and a total of 8 ads were fully researched and followed up on.
