Looking For Help Or Guidance..

I collect domain names. I plan on building up some domains and reselling them, but I'm unable to find the right solution for development, automated content, with the ability to sell products from affiliates or myself.

I'm currently working on IC4.com but I'm unable to decide what to make the site into. My main plans where to make a search engine, and looking to add Sphinx to my overall search. I also wanted to add a solid advertising platform and to the site but I am unable to make such a platform. I started school for programming, but overall had a major set back in which I had to withdraw from school last year "back surgery". Back surgery went good so now I'm back and ready to go. This is my main project at the moment.

I also had another idea for Buyah.com. I would like to add this domain into somewhere everyone can sell items. So people can sell there products and make money.

The last project I've been planning on is a site everyone can enjoy. A blogging or website platform for everyone, SoSeven.com.


I'm a newbie to this forum and would like to become an active member and connect with people. The domains listed above are not for sale. Anyone that is interested in these ideas or have any better idea, please feel free to contact me.

    Looks like you have a bent for building platforms, seems to be successful they have to be done on a big scale, involving investors and a staff. Didn't Facebook spend tons of investor money for 4 years before they started monetizing?

    A search engine sounds mighty ambitious, I believe some seconds tier engines but their data from other engines, is Sphinx just for indexing a local site?. (I see Craigslist uses it for 50+ million search queries/day, but still it's not indexing the world). I would imagine monetizing such an undertaking would not be immediate.

    Interesting doing a search for SoSeven, some housing tract in Fort Worth shows up most often, there is this myspace guy:

    If I were talking to someone with out a few site development successes under their belt, I would suggest starting by making Buyah.com into a shopping affiliate site, perhaps an Amazon store affiliate. It might be the bet prospect for getting something generating a little positive cash flow sooner.
