Hi. I am new to affiliate marketing and i want to know that how you can promote a particular product which you havent tried out. I like to get some tips on that subject. Its difficult for me to order a product and tried out myself and write a review. So whats your strategy? Thanks and Cheers.

If you don't want to write a review, then simply provide informational posts and at the end of the posts include a banner to that product (through your affiliate link).

If I couldn't purchase the product myself (I DO recommend doing so if you can), I would take a "reporter" type of approach. I'd dig up as much info as I could about the product. Are people talking about this product online? What are others saying?
Not just other people writing reviews (and earning commissions) but real customers as well. Try various Google searches using the product name and see what you can find.

Next write up a really thorough report on what you learned - be sure to include PROS and CONS (not just a one sided review of the benefits) so people can see you are making an effort to provide the complete picture.

If you continue to do these sorts of reviews you could earn yourself a reputation as a trusted source for unbiased product reviews etc. Lots of possibilities!

When you ARE able to purchase the product I'd highly recommend doing so (perhaps you could contact the product owner and see if they'd be willing to let you have a review copy).

        Hope this helps!

        B

You can contact the owner of the product and ask him or her to send the copy of the product for you to review. in as much you will prove to him that you want to promote the product for him on your website or list.

i have done this on clickbank, and it works. don't be afraid to contact your vendor.

If you can't provide your own experience (a personal review), you can still offer value by 'borrowing' the personal experiences of others. This is easy for some products, not so much for others.

Let's take a typical product on Amazon...

Read through the reviews for the product you want to review, and for similar products. Take notes about what people consider is important. What features are they happy with? What features disappoint them? Organize your notes.

Now go back to the product you want to promote. Compare your notes to what the vendor claims, and to specific comments (positive or negative) in the user reviews. Take more notes.

Now, using your notes, write a 'product spotlight' review. Admit you haven't used the product yourself. Spell out the important features as compiled from multiple user feedback. Tell how your product measures up to those features, and whether your info comes from the vendor or users.

Make your recommendation, and provide your link.

You can do the same thing with info products, but finding legit user feedback will require a sharper eye to separate real feedback from promos by your fellow affiliates.

Truth be told, I actually put more weight behind this kind of review than even an honest personal review. You may think the product is fantastic, but it might be totally unsuitable for me. And most personal reviews by affiliates are more concerned with selling me on the product than making sure it's a good match.

the other thing to add is if you buy the product on for example clickbank, remember to use you own link so you get the commission on it and the product for the reduced price

    Numerous of ways!
    1) Building a email list in your niche
    2) Writing a blog about your niche and place the product in the sidebar.
    3) Ranking for the keyword "*your product* review" on Google.

Take in use every way, make a blog about your niche and place the product in the sidebar, create review sites and to the last collect emails, build relationships and sell em your affiliated product!

Mike, this is off-topic, but I've never met an "ass model" of any kind, much less a sexy one. I don't remember that booth from career day... :p

To market something you havent used or played with is possible. Reviewing it would be unethical but highlighting its strengths is fine

Don't market anything you have no confidence in. Do your own due diligence - don't just try and sell something just because it is there to be sold. At least review it in your own mind - is it worth buying or is it just cheapo rubbish!

I like what you say about confidence in a product! You don't always have to know a product to recommend it You have resources! There are some products in the future I want to purchase, so I do a due diligence study by catagory :
Is it a product found in Consumer report? ok
Is it a name brand? with excellent reviews ok

Is it hype? Has it been around for a while, Is it a guru software program THEN I probably won't attach my name to it!

          Common sense is the key!

If you haven't used any product or service and you wish to provide a review it always has to be in the third party and my advice would be to approach in the vein of a PR and effectively conduct a Strength Weakness Analysis but be objective.

Google the product. Most likely there is already a couple of reviews out . Then take notes of the similar responses in each review. Also check YouTube for video reviews.
