Cloudfront, MaxCDN, Cloud Hosting, and VPSs! Advise Please!
Hey Warriors,
So I am at a cross roads and don't know what to do...
My Wordpress site is getting pretty popular (about 5,000-12,000 visitors/day) and experiencing issues. Just today I got this error message:
"User __ already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connectionsUser ___ already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections
Error establishing a database connection"
So it looks like I've outgrown my shared hosting account and need to move to a VPS (and yes I already use Cache, Minify and Compress on this WordPress Site).
So my question is, should I get a managed VPS like HostGator, Wiredtree, Or Knownhost and configure a CDN with it (like Amazon Cloudfront, S3, or MaxCDN) or should I just use manged cloud host (like liquidweb)? I'm assuming if I use a cloud enabled host I don't want to also use a CDN like cloudfront or MaxCDN...is that correct?
On my site right now we are basically using amazon s3 as our CDN but costs are crazy high right now...
So let me know what you think would be the most efficient and most cost effective thing to do.
**also note that I am not a backend/server type of guy. I am a marketer and don't like configuring servers and stuff like that. So I want easy to use, 1 click installs, cpanel type stuff.
