1. Keep your site fresh. Keep updating your content as dormant sites are dropped by some search engine.

2. Encourage your visitor to subscribe to your website by offering a free report or video training; it can be a discounts or special offer.

3. Add a link to your primary page for a rss feed or any other social bookmarking link so they can get updates automatically


4. Add a link "recommend this site to a friend" so that the visitor can email your site link with the pre-written title.


5. Create a 'term and condition" page that clearly explains your business principles. Include a privacy policy too so visitors know what happens to their data on your site and that they are secure from spam.


6. Brand your website with a friendly and attractive scheme so that your visitors always recognize when they are on your site's pages.

7. Never spam a visitor who has opted for newsletters with third party email. Honor their request if they decide to unsubscribe. They may change their and still come back if they like your products and opt in again.

    8. Ensure that you are providing your visitors with exactly the content they are looking for.

    Seems like a no-brainer but I think we would all be surprised how many marketers completely miss the mark when it comes to the visitors they seek and the content they provide them.

    Always, and I mean always, ensure that you are targeting the right audience with the content you know they are interested in. This could be information, buying reviews, entertainment scoops, or something as simply as funny pictures.

    This is especially true for those who want to create authority sites in any niche. Oh and don't forget to have a "Related Posts" section directly below your articles so that you can target the user with one topic and then drag them right along into a related topic.
