I cant believe how much I have learnt in a few hours

Hi All,

After being told about this place by a friend I decided to come along and check it out. There is so much information here it's started to give me a headache. Anyhow here's a few things I have learnt so far just by reading the posts:-
  1. I don't know as much as I thought I did.
  2. There are a lot of rules on here such as posting in the right place, etc. so I guess I need to spend a few days reading up on them.
  3. The search button works (honest I tried it)
  4. Don't get upset if someone a lot wiser than me decides to delete this thread.
  5. On the whole people seem helpful you just need to take care when requesting help.
  6. If you make a mistake ignore the jibes and move on.
I have also learnt that if there is something you need to learn you can probably find it on here (if not for free then more than likely as a special offer).

Well I guess all I need to do is to spend another few hours learning how to make some money then I'm off on vacation.....lol

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to being part of the community

Jay

Welcome, and you would be wise to establish a time limit per day right up front. More than 17 hours might be overkill. I think a few brains have exploded from the info in this place.

it's really easy to launch into "Analysis Paralysis" on the WF.

My advice is to pick one idea and run with it for a while. Otherwise you turn into a WSO junkie (like me) and it takes you a while to actually get anything done!

You only get one shot at life - make it awesome.

Everyone else also gets just one crack at it - help make theirs awesome too... or, politely step out of their way.

Definitely. This tends to be my problem. I become just over saturated with information and then loose track of time. Focus and implementation is key.

Congratulations. You've learned more before your first post than some people have after 10 years as members here. (I'd have put a smiley at the end of that sentence, but it's true.)

    Welcome aboard!

I am a Warrior addict, and proud of it! This is one of the greatest resources in the world for learning how to build traffic and making money from it.

I have been here a few years now and have a full time job doing what I have learned here, and helping more than 50 offline companies to grow with great results.

I am now using what I've learned (new stuff every week) here to grow even further and plan to quit my job during the end of this year (or at least in time for spring), living off my affiliate and adsense websites. Getting closer each day.

The warrior forum not only have great knowledge, but also a lot of hard working and effective warriors for hire, making articles and promotions for my websites.

I am forever greatfull for this forum.

    Welcome to the community!

I'm still new here too but the biggest hurdle I find is either conflicting information or choosing between multiple ways to do the same thing.

Einstein once said that you can be an expert on anything.

He said simple and easy too just read as much as you can on a particular subject for an hour or so each day and within a few weeks you would be qualified enough to become a go to guy.

This place has better info that those $97 ebooks that lay on clickbank. But it is what you do with this info that will help you win the race.

Congratulations! This is the place to get you started - for sure.

My biggest tip is that ...It all matters, it all helps and it will all eventually help to put money into your pocket. Keep reading, keep looking into different things (try not to spend any more money at this point) and then once you decide to do something specific that you like, focus on learning more about that. Don't be tempted to do the first thing you see just because you think people will accuse you of not being focused or not taking action. The worst thing you can do is to do something because you think you should. Find something that gives you joy or rings true or makes sense to you.

This (IM) world is made up of all sorts of ways to make money. Investigate as many as you can (think of a college freshman, they read much more widely at the start than they do at the end because they are looking around for their major) and then focus more tightly as you go. There are going to be a lot of people yelling at you to take action on anything (almost at any expense) as if taking action will give you money by itself - ignore them.

Take action only when it feels right. Not perfect...just "right". The worst thing you can do is "take action" on something you do not understand or does not fit with your personality or interests. Not saying to go and focus on your interests, I'm just talking about general interest. For example, you might like working on websites as opposed to writing articles, or you might be good at graphics but need to source content, or you might be really into social media. All these avenues can make money but they will be a thorn in your side if you find them boring or uninteresting. Pick something you will enjoy (if at all possible) because you'll be doing it for a long time or will be putting in a lot of energy.

Lately I've seen some newbies waste time just taking action aimlessly because they see so many people in here yelling at newbies to take action. This is flawed (in my opinion). Yes, action is required but it must have focus and focus comes easiest from interest. You will be far more focused and likely to take action if you find the action interesting or at least challenging in an enjoyable way. Take your time, find what excites you and go with that. Now, obviously you can't spend all your life looking but in the beginning you must search far and wide to get into something you dig.
