What are the biggest problems as an Internet Marketer?

I am researching what is important to a "real internet marketer" so obviously the Warrior forum is by far the best place to find out the real answers.
I have a list of issues that I've determined cause a lot of problems for Internet Marketers, please vote for the problems you'd most like to solve.
As soon as I have the results I'll send you a copy if you like.
Also if there are other issues I've left out, please post them.
Thank you Warriors!
Ok, this is what I've found so far, please vote for the issues you feel are the biggest problems

Personally, I think the biggest problem for internet marketers is, focus and action.

There are some "Internet Marketers" who have been "studying" it for 2 years and have never done anything. Hello! Where's your Associate's Degree!

So many of these "newbies" learn more and more and more and more and never take action.

Well you don't need to have a red buy button that turns green on the mouse over. You don't need a video or audio on your page. You don't need to hire a copywriter. You don't need to have awesome graphics. You don't need an ebook cover.

Most of them know TOO MUCH and don't know where to start!

Heck, you don't even need your own product.

Learn ONE thing, then DO that ONE thing... Then, Learn the NEXT thing, and DO that next thing!

I agree with this. all the things learned need to be implemented right away and focus on that till you have seen result.

Yeah, I couldn't agree more on that one cause I was in that same boat. For me my weakness is not so much about action and patience than it is focus. It's easy for me to study and implement a lot of different methods at the same time, but I find that it's harder to learn this way because I'm learning too many things at once and I eventualy wind up frustrating myself.

To paraphrase mscopeland, take it one step at a time and you'll save yourself some headaches

Being new and all I think the hardest part is getting started! Getting an idea, writing out a plan, and how to use the countless number of ideas and resources on this forum. At times it is almost overwhelming.

I would say that patience is the toughest part to learn. We are working in a digital environment and get used to everything being instant. Business takes time, new marketers expect things to work instantly and make money right away. Even experience marketers go through patience tests in other ways as well.

      MSCopeland,

Great post thanks a lot! I agree with you, the draw of just 1 more book to read and I'll be an expert is huge though.

      Thanks for the post alothere.

Floridatroy, you are right there are countless resources - a blessing and a curse all in one. As MS said above though just find one thing and get started, it will be a rewarding experiance.

Martin and ahuddy thanks for your posts too.

These are all so helpful, let's keep it going!

Think the biggest obstacles are finding out where to start first (fighting with analysis paralysis and info overload) and then getting traffic. There are just too many choices and so little time for everything.

      Porn Sites

      And

The Internet provides too much convenience...

You can browse... shop... read news... seek entertainment... make reservations... order take out (pizza)

There are too many distractions... that is the problem!

More GREAT posts! Thanks a lot you all!

Gunter, Analysis Paralysis is huge, had that issue myself for a while. Thanks

Marcanthony, What can I say, nice post probably some truth to it although who will admit it?? As for the to many distractions theory in general, it's a great point. It is very easy to lose hours doing or researching things we never set out to do. Thanks a lot, for the post.

I really appreciate everyone's input here, let's keep it going.

          I will admit it...

Of all of the distractions of the Internet, for me, porn is at the forefront...

          I like watching new porn...

If I haven't seen it already, I consider it to be new.

But, aside from me being a pseudo "perv" the Internet in it's entirety is cluttered with interesting things that steal my attention.

Just to reiterate and add to what I said above--the Internet has everything that you need...

You can chat in forums and form relationships with people from all over... Hell, you can even date online...

The only thing missing is the ability to experience physical contact through the computer.

On somewhat of a side note... kind of...

A friend of mine posted a comment on Twitter yesterday that read, "cell phones and technology w/ be the root of human disconnection"

Now, with all that I have said in this post--I find that statement to be ironically relevant.

But, then again, I am a little off my rocker

As OPs have said -- focus, inaction and a lack of patience seem to be real challenges for new marketers.

The problem is that when you're new, you're learning all the nuts and bolts (how to set up a website, how to blog, how to write a sales letter etc) so that when you actually get around to using your new information, you want to see instant results.

When you don't get them, you look for the latest WSO or new product. When that doesn't work instantly, you think it's either you, or the product you bought. :-)

If this is happening to you, have patience. IM is the only field I'm aware of where the potential of a million dollar income is possible for ANYONE, no matter your age, sex, education or anything else.

You can make a great income, but if you're new, you need to get familiar with your tools.

Enjoy practicing. Enjoy learning how to set up a website, or whatever. There are great "success" threads here -- enjoy them. But don't just read -- ACT.

Keep acting, and before you know it, you'll post your own success.

            Cheers

            Angela

Procrastination - I'd say this because there have been, are and always will be step by step instructions people freely share that can give results.

But others forget about these posts, only to look for something else new.

anybody can make money on the internet IF they have traffic to their offer.

Even a BAD offer will make money with enough traffic.

So - the biggest, the one and only, is traffic

I am part of a mastermind group. The biggest thing that I see as a problem is taking that first step.

Our group meets on the phone/skype every week, not only to learn new things, but as accountability partners. If you said you were going to do something by the next call and it's not done, you're going to get a whoop'n!

In all serious though, it's true. To have that accountability partner/group, is key to many of our successes. EVERYONE in the group has launched a product, site, whatever and are making money. Some are making thousands, others just started making money.

But the biggest thing that we all, in the Mastermind group, have said is that the accountability and focus is what has moved them forward.

People need a kick in the A$$ to get moving and DOING.

Turn off the daily email flood. Unsubscribe from 80 of the 100 email lists you're on. Get out of the Warrior Forum all day and all the other forums. Turn off Twitter, and Facebook, and plurk, and digg, and all distractions.

ok good... Now GET TO WORK!

Start with a 50,000 foot view of your business. If this is a hobby for you, please skip to the next post, because this is for people who are starting a Business.

50,000 view is the big picture.. what are your ideas? Write them down.. I mean REALLY, WRITE them down.. NOT on the computer, on paper.. with those things they used to use in the old days, called a pencil.
It's better to do it in MindMap style but whatever, do your idea on paper.

50,000 view isn't concerned with scripts, or blogs or conversions or any of that mumbo jumbo... it's about the big picture of your business.. That idea and vision.

Then is the 20,000 foot view. Then the 10,000 foot view, 5,000 foot view, the 1,000 foot view, then the 500 foot view.

You need a place to start, start by getting your head on paper.

Why paper you say? Because it's a psychological change in the way your brain processes the information... if you put your idea in the middle of the page, then draw a circle around it, not a box but a circle, then it will use both sides of your brain. The creative and analytical side.

Then when you come up with more ideas about the main idea, write them down, draw a circle around them then draw a line from them to the main idea.

I could go on and on here, but I'll probably run out of room and someone would wonder why I'm not charging $1997 for all the info. lol

Anyway, that's a start... if you don't know where to start, I just gave it to you.

    I'm serious... DO IT!

    Do it Now!

Lack of funds and too many hyped up products that could eat your wallet up if you aren't careful...

      Also, increasing competition....
