Linking strategy for new articles posted to a blog

Hi,

I'm trying to come up with the best strategy for posting new articles to my blog and getting them decent ranks in google. These are the steps I was thinking of taking:

1. Find low to medium competition keywords using niche finder.
2. Test if they are buyer kewyords using PPC to ensure that they will indeed convert (it's for a CPA offer) by writing a separate ad for each keyword.
3. Outsource article writing (at least 500 words or so) for the low to medium competition keywords that converted well through PPC.
4. Posting the articles to my blog.
5. Get edu. gov. link packets for each of the articles.
6. After the articles are indexed post them to ezinearticles.com

Feel free to offer any suggestions with the above steps to increase the blog ranking. Maybe you would suggest using another software for researching keywords or anything else you might have in mind.

Thank you.

Don't forget the power of rss feeds. There a plenty of rss directories to submit your site to. There are some good posts on this process, just do a search.
