There are lots and lots of different ways to make money online - hang around here and you'll pick up a lot of good advice. You might also consider joining the War Room. Some of the stuff that gets talked about there will help you a great deal.

Post a link to your website. I'm sure you'll find many Warriors who will diagnose any problems you may be having with it.

Have you learned how to drive lots of consistent organic traffic to a site? That's something you need to learn before you start making much money... one step at a time :]

If you'd stuck with the same website for 3 years while adding content and doing backlinking, you'd probably be bringing in SOMETHING

I make most of my money as a ClickBank vendor and as a provider of services here on the Warrior Forum. By the sound of it, part of your problem may be that you are trying so many different things. With few exceptions, you will have to stick with one thing for a while before you see significant results.

All of the methods you tried work. People make money with them all the time. The methods are not the issue, it's you.

Not trying to be rude or anything, but it's important to take responsibility in your business and understand that if somethings not working, you need to change your approach.

Keep learning and keep taking action. That's great that you've tried what you've tried already. Most people give up right away. But I have to ask, how long did you stick with each method until you moved on to something else?

To make money online, you need to choose a monetization method, create a plan, and stick with it. If it's not working figure out why. Do research, test different traffic methods, etc. Don't give up!

So to answer your question "How do you really make money online?". You create a plan, stick with it, and make adjustments when necessary.

I think Dan is right, I can't see how you can spend 3 years working with IM and make nothing? If you were struggling why did it take 3 years to ask for help?

How easy it is for your visitors to transact with you when they get to your site?
If not easy then you are not converting your visitors to sales.
Whether online or offline there has to be a reason or benefit for your customers/visitors to want to buy from you.
Take a step back, analyse your site and ask yourself, would I buy from that site?
And as said in previous replies plan, focus, and stick to the plan.

Here's how I make my money:

1.) SEO --> optin page or presell page
2.) Autoresponders
3.) Consulting fees

That's pretty much how I do it. It's just a matter of finding the right offers. Most things DON'T work! Stick with one thing until it starts producing results, then scale those efforts!

Targetted traffic is difficult to acquire - at least in the initial stages.

Your efforts are best focused on how to achieve this if you're wanting to make money from clickbank / adsense and the like.

I second the motion on that targeted traffic is the key to selling anything online. What ever niche your website focus on you must target your attention to that crowd of people as well as go to the places on the net that those people hang out. For example if you are promote gaming tips you would go to a forum on gaming or find blogs and other related websites. Another good way to promote your site would be to find ezine news letters that focus on your niche and send a solo ad with them. These sites often have thousands of subscribers. But if you take that route be sure to do your research on it first.

As mentioned a number of times above, traffic is important. However, once people get to your site, the site should give them opportunities to engage in actions that will result in income. The choices of kinds of actions and how you present those choices to your visitors depends a lot on your business model and your decisions about how you want to monetize your site. For example, if you are using Adsense as the primary source of monetization, then the point of your site structure, design and content will be to present click opportunities to your visitors. Your choice of niche in this case would be important as some target populations may be more inclined to click than others and choice of niche would affect relative value of clicks. If you want to sell Clickbank products, then once again you have choices to make about how your website it going to present opportunities for your visitors to get them to the CB sales pages. It is very unusual for a site never to make anything whatsoever. You would expect at least a random sale here and there. If you have truly made zero in three years, to me that begs a number of questions. Anyway, I wish you the best in your endeavors.

You can but its not easy. You can create a website and generate lots of traffic and earn from email marketing, ads and etc

I think you are a victim of "Information Overload", a condition many of us suffers from when we first starts out.

Instead of focusing one only one field, one way of doing online marketing, such as SEO, MLM, PPC or whatever.

We kind of flows around between all the information we get from forums, emails and special offers without setting a real path we want to follow.

Focus on one marketing channel to learn first and that suits you as a person, then find one niche to start out with and simply take it from there.

I'll second this. And I wanted to add that although traffic is important, just driving traffic to a site does not guarantee sales. If your offer is no good or your site and sales funnel ineffective then your traffic numbers will not convert into sales. If you bring tons of traffic who could care less about your offer or niche, then that traffic is not going to convert. People like to say traffic=sales, but that is not necessarily true.

Now, although the amount I make on a daily basis varies, I can make $300+ doing nothing. I still try to do something to improve my blog everyday just so it doesn't get stale. Plus, I can't pass up an opportunity to make some money. Once you get the hang of things, it doesn't take much time at all. You just need to take it day by day and stick with it.

Don't worry!

I am also in one of those who spend more of there time on internet to make money.

I also make too much loss, out of my pocket.

Now i find a best way to generate profit. That is to work for the Odesk.com

Its a real company , where i make my profile on which i fully focus on my abilities and search a job over exact my skill.

As what most warriors had stated above, there are millions of way to earn money online and I would say it that it is not an overnight thing. You could earn some decent money by creating your own blog, develop your own site, create your own videos, and so much more. It is very important to really learn and study what fields or niche that you really want to do since it is difficult to cater to two or more methods/ways/niches at the same time. It would result to information overload and will always end up people quitting and giving up on their goal.
I would also share the idea that you could offer or provide your services to others as a writer, blogger, coder, video designer and etc. You could check Odesk or Elance for job posts and from there, you can choose which job you can provide to offer to your prospect clients.

I'd build a blog full of quality content and having a subscribe form. Do some keyword research to optimize it - and the traffic will come. You even can become an authority in your field of interest - and that's even better. The more you are in a subject the better.

Adam if you have been trying online marketing online for 3 years, you must have some skills by now.
Go to fiverr.com and offer some of your services. You could offer something as simple as creating gmail accounts or writing short business reviews. You could then cash out some of your money and use the rest to buy gigs. You could buy gigs for back linking to your site.
Anything to get the money ball rolling in your favor. Keep trying, you're almost there.

To make money selling something you always need three things:

1 - a good product - the better the product the easier it is to sell as happy customers will give you glowing reviews, tell their friends, tweet about it etc, a REALLY good product practically sells itself

2 - present the product - offline this would be putting it on display in a store etc, online it is having it on a webpage, making sure people can see its virtues, its packaging etc. This is the bit where you show off how wonderful it is, its unique selling points, the benefits it will bring to buyers etc etc Here is also where you present yourself, your brand. You attempt to establish trust, show your potential customers that you are professional, honest and they can risk dealing with you safely.

3 - tell the world - basically, advertising. Getting the word out that your product exists and where to go to find out more. Online it is things like links in forum signatures, awareness from article marketing, social networking, paying for advertising on other sites, having other things on your site to attract potential customers - doing all you can to ensure as many people know about it as possible - especially those people who are likely to want it

Which one of these areas is your weakest?

Are you promoting good products? Would you buy the product yourself, if it is not something you actually made? If not, why on earth do you think others will? The more passion you have for what you are trying to sell, the easier it is to convince others to share that passion.

Are you presenting them well? Is your site clean and attractive? Do you clearly show potential customers why they NEED this product? Do you explain the unique features? Do you do everything you can to reassure a potential customer that they can trust you?

Who are you telling? You could have given us a link in your post, but didn't, a failed opportunity there. Have you thought about your niche and the sort of people to whom your product will appeal - and targetted them? Do you post on related forums? Have you tried social networking? Where are your potential customers hanging out.. and are you there too?
Do you have a contact details of interested visitors to your site? Have you worked on showing them they can trust you and that you are offering quality?

Hi Adam,

I believe you are losing focus and jumping from one opportunity to another without a REAL plan to follow. You will need to know which business model such as affiliate marketing, creating your product, consulting, etc you want to do before you start to come out with a plan. After which, stick with the plan, test and tweak it till it works well.

I create and sell my product/service to my list, promote offers to my list once a while.

Adam,

Take the online part out and ask "How do you make money?" How do most people make money?

They exchange a product or service for money.
Are you offering a product or service that customers want?
If you have not made money the answer to this is no.

IM is merely a group of marketing that is done online. But no matter where you market you have to have a product or service that has value to your customer.

One easy way to see if it has value is to ask if you would buy it. Would you buy the things you are offering? If yes why would you buy them? What is the value? You have to show the value to your customer. What is in it for them?

I truly believe those that have true success in marketing understand how to show the value and understand if something has value. Also sometimes you have to know what the value is. For example you can't sell plastic plates from China for $49 a piece. You would be hard pressed to build the value in that since they can but a plate that is similar for a buck.

Hopefully over this time you have learned methods to drive traffic. You now have great techinical skills now i hope. So now is the time to look back at why the traffic you drove didn't convert.

Did you send the wrong traffic?
Did the products have no value?
Were they over priced?

Would you have bought any of them? If not why? Might not those be the same reasons the customers didn't buy?

Its not just "the way" , there are several good ways of making money , you should just find one that is good for you and you like doing it.
Also making money online is about hard work at the beginning when you build up something.
So my advice is to be very good at something specific rather then be just good at several techniques.
Find what you like or think fits good for you , learn learn learn , then work to impove and build something...also this takes time...don't think you'll get rich by next month

Or offer services to other...are many options , but as beginner stick to one.

The question isn't how do you make money online really. As there are more ways then you really think.

Option one go over to fivver and post a few jobs.

Option two write articles promoting an affiliate offer through clickbank which directs from a domain you own to the actual clickbank offer page.

Option 3 build a squeeze page and start building your list in a specific niche.

Option 4 go get an amazon associates account and build a website around the products in a specific niche/market.

I could go on and on really. However if you wait till the 11th I will be posting a wso called the fastest way to 67k a month. I am still working on everyting at the moment but it is a very nice outline for you to follow so you can start making some money.

Why one, not able to make money online is mainly,because, as a first thing he or she does not put much efforts to understand customer insights - what really happening in particular choosen arena,that is, finding out what people really demand, and delivering it, this really works for me, lot of vehicles in internet which will do the promotion part for you, once your are ready with product - genuine and has value, like youtube and facebook etc.. you can create your own product or outsource it, but it is very true, information is flooding, too many ideas, need to set time frame, concentrate on one which fits you in terms of interest and specialization .

There are many varieties way of earning from online. If you know only copy past or know typing, Graphic design or know searching from web then you can earn easily. There are many freelancing sites such as freelancer, elance, scriptlance or odesk. You will find work appropriate to your desire.

I have made money with my blog through google adsense, amazon affiliates, money through surveys, zazzle and also have done a few work at home jobs and some other little things. You shouldn't have to put out a penny to make money online. Try getting a blog through blogger and read problogger.

1. Find a mentor, someone to really guide you instead of just buying a bunch of courses

2. Make sure that mentor actually has proven results. I have no doubt in my mind that you wouldn't be able to find someone on the warrior forum that has the results you want. Just PM them or skype them whenver you get a chance. Most people on here are very straight forward good people.

3. Once you do this, you can start focusing on different ways to make money online. But remember that everything online is a niche.

Here are some of the following ways to now make money

- cpa offers
- adsense
- selling your own product
- being an affiliate for someone else' product
- selling ad space on your website
- building websites for others
- doing freelance work such as article writing, making videos, etc (although that's not really leveraging your time too well)
- sell your YouTube accounts that you'll have gotten 100,000's of views from by say reposting a music video?

The thing is you need to fill a void or be that solution for someone. Fill that void with a product and/or service and put a price on it. Get it in front of the consumer by any means necessary and you'll make it happen.

My advice is to focus on 1 thing at a time.

I was working on a fitness niche site 6 months ago and I lost interest in it for whatever reason. Now I find myself working on it again because I'm in a tight situation, but also because I know it's going to make me a killing.

So don't get side tracked, do your research and focus on one thing. If you're focusing on say building a huge fan following on your facebook fan page, then don't go and venture off onto twitter because you saw that someone had great results with it from some thread you read here on the Warrior Forum.

Stay the line, and it it doesn't work, change your approach UNTIL it works!
Now there's obviously a time to call it quits and change your approach in new niches, new social inter faces, new strategies, etc. But that just comes with testing, testing, testing every single thing you can.

If a banner isn't getting a high Click through rate (CTR) on your website, then change the positioning, etc..you get the idea

Here how I am getting traffic and $$ :

When I go to write a new post for my site, first thing i do that is "keyword researching" in my niche. I always choose low competitive keyword with minimum 100+ US search. Then I find some LSI keyword to making rich my article. Then I write something or copy and spun other writing.

After publishing the article, I always bookmark my article for minimum 20 quality place. RSS syndication goes automate by a plugin and it gets me some backlink. Then I do some blog commenting or forum posting (5 or 10) for my new post.

That is so old questiong and that is so old answer to that. The success depends from attitude. Also how you want to make money as a worker or as a business people?

It is like in real offline business. First of all think what you need to know and how to think. Even buy some mindset books

If you've been trying to make money online for 3 years, you probably have a lot of knowledge, but you might be lacking a plan of action. You said you tried a whole bunch of different things (which may be your problem). Successfully making money online requires you to focus on one business model until you hit your financial goals.

One proven business model that I recommend is list building in a profitable niche.

Find a profitable niche you're interested in, and then build a list, while promoting related products to your list.

Your problem is, you knew a hundred and ten ways for making money online. I suggest Stick with single one. First of all forget everything you know or want to do. Stay calm and work on any simple idea you have learned from your experience.
i.e,
1) Chose any popular niche like health and fitness OR what you love to like gaming
2) Create FB page or group and invite your friends
3) Send this traffic to your target
4) patience and wait
5) And your done

Always remember don't bother with what you want to do. Do what you have learned. Simplicity always win.
