Impression Rates

Sorry - I'm having a numbers crisis here. I can't remember what the typical rates are for an ad on one's site such as Tribal Fusion or whatever it's called. I realize that the rates for this are quite variable depending on your niche, etc. But I'm just trying to get a baseline number.

What I can't remember is this:

Is the going rate to put an ad on your site about $1 per 10000 impressions or $10 per 10000 impressions.

The reason I'm asking is that I think I might have an individual buyer interested and want to charge a multiple of that because my niche is profitable and highly targeted for his product. But I need to know the baseline.

    If you have a site that is pulling 10,000 visitors and you are charging a $1 or even $10 per impression how will you ever make any real money?

      Yeah, I was just looking for a baseline.

      I know pretty well what I want to charge and think that I can get it. But I was just looking for a reference point.
