what to do with the clickbank customer distribution requirement or CDR ????

i have like 300$ at clickbank, from 3 sales, but i cant get it out of there , and lately i have no sales at all

the CDR rule:

ClickBank accounts cannot be used for the sole purpose of collecting rebates or otherwise extending credit to yourself or others. In compliance with US law, ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met:
  • Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers and
  • Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.
how can i get that money, any idea ?

If whatever you aren't promoting isn't converting, try another product. There's plenty of high performing products on Clickbank that you can get at least one sale from if you throw up a few good articles and point it to a squidoo lens or a blogger blog.

You just gotta keep finding products that convert, and trust me... there are plenty. Keep working and you'll have enough sales to meet the requirement.

Is this true? I have a new affiliate blog that I'm playing around with and I've had 5 sales on clickback, but it still shows as waiting for CDR.
I'm okay with waiting to make new sales before I can get the money, but this is the first time I've heard of a fee that clickbank forces if you don't have a payment sent for a few month.

      Thanks

Are you on Twitter? I'm addicted to Twitter and Social Media - vBulletin Services
I've been tinkering around with IPBSetup, but still love vBulletin. Which is the best, vBulletin or IP.Board?

How many CC's you got? You seem to need only two more purchases.
Buy two items you've been interested in, use your affiliate id, use two different cc types, use different zipcodes from around the country.

I've recently opened another clickbank account and I have a similar problem,

everyone seems to be paying by paypal - 90% of my sales on cb are from paypal

As people get more comfortable paying online more of them seem to be using paypal to transfer money from their bank account, rather than having more charges on their credit card.

    Anyone else have this problem?

This is a stupid rule that allows clickbank to keep the money of tons of new affiliate marketers, eventually I'll reach the 5 credit cards sales, but I want my check.

Try marketing products that are nothing to do with Internet marketing - Dating is good at the moment - and health and fitness.

Your average person - who does not spend all day on the internet - is more likely to purchase witha credit card than with Paypal.

After your first check it won't mater if all your payments are by paypal.

Clickbank makes things so difficult. They are getting to be as bad as eBay. I wish there were more alternatives to be both of those.

Yes Brandon, the sad truth is that they do deduct $5/month if you don't have sales for a certain amount of time. I learned this the hard way. I'm glad I found this thread, cause I have the same problem as the OP. I practically gave up on Clickbank, but they still have a couple of hundred of my money, so I want to make some sales so I can get it out.

I've been though all this myself. You can bribe people to buy a product from your link etc. blah blah but it's not ideal.

There is only one simple and legit solution:

    SELL STUFF!

I still don't know how they get away with this but anyway. They must make a packet each year from people in your exact same situation.

        The solution is simple:

        1. Sleep with 5 different women and have at least 5 different kids with 5 different surnames.
        2. Once each kid reaches the age of 18, drive them to the nearest bank and have them signup for their own credit card in their own name.
        3. Drive the child home, log on to the computer, and search for products to buy on Clickbank. Anything over $97 should do.
        4. Tell your child that you have left you wallet in the car and you need to borrow their credit card.
        5. Make the purchase using your child's credit card.
        6. Rinse and repeat 5 times.

You should then have no problems getting hold of that money.

        Hope that helps!

All you have to do is ask two or three friends/relatives to buy a $3/$4 product using your affiliate-link and appropriate credit-cards, repay them, and you're qualified under the CDR. You only ever have to do it once. If you have a couple of different credit-cards yourself, you may not even need to involve anyone else.

The last time I looked for someone there was a little chocolate cake recipe e-book for $3.50 or something (and it pays commission, too). Two or three quick sales of that to friends will be all you need.
I'm surprised at this post :p

To be fair, yours is the best advice if you do want to go down the get-yer-mates route but I still think concentrating on sales is better.

The CDR was a good motivator for me to try and sell something in 60 days. I mean 1 sale every 60 days (to avoid deductions). Even I could do it! Eventually I got my hands on the cash.

You have a friend or two I bet that has a CC and could afford one of those 9 dollar eBooks!

With most people turning towards PP this will become more of an issue.

            Yeah. It's the "Golden Rule"!

He who has the gold can make the rules.

Clickbank is a great resource for affiliate products but I advise clients to create their own products and get paid for them DIRECTLY. This way you won't be sitting on your thumbs waiting for clickbank products to sell.

Find a couple of good PLR sites and add content to the product to make it unique. Then use the marketing advice that fills these posts.

            Hang in there.

            Thanks
