Does 2checkout delete ac due to non activity?

Hey guys, I am planning to apply for 2checkout account for my ecommerce site. Currently, my paypal account is limited but I hoping that it will get activated in a week or two. If it gets activated I might not use 2checkout until there is a problem with my paypal again. As some of you guys know that Paypal doesn't have a sound reputation in India.

So, let's say, I get approved for 2checkout in few days and my paypal account also gets activated during the same time and so I don't use 2checkout for few months, will my 2checkout account get deactivated due to no activity at all?

Thks in advance.

Your account would go into dormant status after 18 months of not logging in or selling any products. Are you in India? We can do transactions in several currencies and languages (including INR).

Your customers can use Paypal as a payment option with 2Checkout, which is something to consider. We offer a ton of benefits so I encourage you to reach out to 2Checkout and gather some more info to find out what your best option would be! Just visit our main website and click Contact us in the top right.

Best of luck with your decision and your ecommerce site!

I just moved to 2co and have had about 5 sales so far. All my buyers have used their paypal accounts to purchase. What I admire about 2co is the fact that my country is supported, Plus, their partnership with payoneer which makes it even easier for me to cashout anytime anywhere.

great to hear! So happy to know you're enjoying working with us. We're currently rolling out a social media strategy that will include highlighting our sellers. We also have an ecommerce site for our sellers to put their products on that will be fully functioning in the near future.

We're just starting to focus on social media so feel free to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin (we're looking into Orkut as well) to easily keep up to date with us. Have a great day!

Well I was going to answer but see 2Checkout actually has a presence now on the forum (Welcome 2Checkout!). I've had my account for several years to handle my hosting company - but the hosting has been closed to the public since 2007 - but my account at 2CO is still active and has not been hit with any fees (try that for 4 years at Clickbank and see whats happen - bye bye account and any $$$ in it!!!). While using 2CO they were always quick with support and just as easy as paypal to integrate into various shopping carts. Plus 2CO covers some areas of the world that Paypal does not.
    Good luck,

I've had an account on 2CO since 2005, but must admit I haven't logged in for quite sometime or made any sales (the product I was selling is no longer available).

However, my account is still valid and healthy. In fact, it's got almost $1000 sitting in there that I'd forgotten about.

      Same here mostly.

I still have the 2co buttons on my site, but not many people choose 2co. I have run very few transactions through your company, not by my choice, but my customer's choice.

I am surprised I haven't hit the inactive status, now that I see you have that.

To be honest, I would use 2co more than I do, except for one thing.

With paypal, I can actually use my template of their forms to create BUY buttons on the fly.

With 2co, I must login to the site to create new BUY buttons. If I change my prices, I must login to 2co to make that change.

Since I have to build my buttons onsite, rather than on-the-fly, I don't use 2co as often as I would otherwise.

2Checkout, can you confirm if there is a different inactivity rule for people who have had a 2CO account for a number of years?

I just asked our Sales team and we do not have an inactivity rule. So you can sign up for an account and no matter how inactive or active you are, we do not close your account or charge you any fees for being inactive.

To the people who haven't fully utilized our service yet - what do you think the biggest reason is for you?

tpw - that's interesting to learn and very helpful, thank you!

The reason I haven't utilized it yet, and I definitely would, is that I signed up with an url and it was approved. I sell from many different websites, not just from one domain and I sent an email to support to see if I could change the domain and didn't get an answer back, so I just put it on hold. I am uncertain about the domain issue. If I place a 2C0 link on other domains, will my account be banned or closed?

I apologize that we did not get back to you on your question!

Short answer: you are required to open separate accounts for different urls/domains. There is a $19 rebate you will get for each new account you sign up for so it won't be the full $49 fee each time.

Longer Answer: however, if you are wanting to use the 2CO link on other domains/urls - it is possible to do this as long as the product/service you are selling is related to one another. Ex: trees on one website, gardening tools on another might be approved to use the same link, trees on one website and cars on another would not be approved.

The decision on whether it relates enough or not to use the same link for multiple domains/url's is up to our underwriting team.

To address your question on whether you can change the domain related to the 2CO link completely - yes you can. Our Underwriting Department will be happy to change your website URL/domain on your 2CO Account. Please send an email to [ risk @ 2co dot come ] to request this update, and include your 2CO Account number and your new URL. I apologize the email can't be a link yet - I have to have more posts before this site lets me

    Hope this helps!

Ah ... does help. Didn't know about having to open separate accounts for other domains. So I'll change the domain on this account and then open others for other domains, as I don't usually promote items that are very much related to each other ...except that most of my products are websites or website templates like the flip my blogs link in my signature. Does that count?

This isn't unusual. There are new regulations and some accounts are not worth the risk. Depends entirely on what you are promoting and how you promote. You can and will have the same problems if you raise red flags with Clickbank and Paypal.

Just read all the Paypal nightmare stories and Clickbank has undergone a major crackdown. All of this is due to new regulations that payment processors have to comply with as well as sellers.

I personally welcome the changes as there are far too many scams in the Internet Marketing field.

Greetings 2Checkout. Nice of you to join the forum.

I am trying to get customer service from your company. I am finding it very frustrating.

This is something you warriors should keep in mind. How your payment processor treats your customers reflects on you (fair or not).

Well, for me, I think 2co's CS has not been too bad given that I get responses to mails within hours and solutions always provided.

In as much as the tech guys are willing to work hard to settle issues, they may not handle issues without their scope. I have a webhosting business and have had some clients asking me to look into PHP bugs on their sites. Frankly, that's NOT within what I can do as support tech. My customer service cannot be judged based on such experiences.

Not in anyway trying to say that all is well with 2co though.

I need customer service. Not tech support. Plain old cancel my subscription kind of customer service. I would hope that would be in the scope of customer service. I would settle for a simple acknowledgement from someone at this point.

Hi there, I apologize for your frustration. You have a couple options. 1. we do not cancel/close accounts so you can put it in dormant status and then if you decided to use it later, you wouldn't have to pay the $49 again. 2. contact: risk at 2co dot com - I can't put in a link I apologize. Or call them at 6149212449 ext 192 or if you're international: 0871 284 4844 ext 192

Thank you for your reply 2Checkout. If I do not hear anything further from you, I will contact at the info you have given.

But I don't think I was quite clear. I have purchased a product on subscription from someone who processes their payments through you. I want to cancel that subscription. It is that request to which I am getting no reply.

Furthermore, I just read in another thread that you have terminated that vendor's account. So there isn't anything likely he can do for me.

Oh, okay! I understand now I apologize you're having a hard time getting a hold of the vendor you have the subscription with.

    So, couple scenarios again:
    1. if this vendor was completely terminated: you do not need to cancel your subscription. if the account is closed, then that accounts customers will no longer be billed
    2. if this vendor is inactive (not completely closed): if you cannot cancel your account through the vendor, we can help you. In this case, you would contact: 2cosupport at 2CO dot com - they are at extension 301. If you were over-billed they can handle a refund there as well.

Egads I feel so confused. The vendor's site instructs the subscriber to contact 2Checkout directly to cancel a subscription. And it was like that long before October.

I will try contacting the vendor first to verify that my subscription is no longer going to be billed. If that doesn't work, I will go back to 2Checkout.

I have a couple of subscriptions that are billed through Paypal. Every month when they appear on my credit card statement, a phone number contact is included. I wonder why 2Checkout doesn't have that.

Honestly I was a little surprised to be instructed to go to 2Checkout versus the vendor. So I pulled out my credit card statement and was dismayed to not find a phone number. So then I registered with 2Checkout support and opened a ticket 2 days ago which has so far been ignored.

I don't know at what level you operate within the company. I find the larger companies get, the more divorced their leaders come from the nitpicky details. There is a dependence on operating procedures. As long as the procedure to handle a given instance, they assume it is being handled.

But ultimately companies are people. And people have been known to derail the simplest SOPs.

I thank you for your responses. I will reply back once I hopefully have this resolved.

    Update:

I was able to contact the site owner and he confirmed that my subscription was cancelled. It was such a weird coincidence that I decided to cancel at the same time all this was going down.

Thank you 2Checkout for your help. I hope your company will be able to continue working with IMers. Most of us are good, honest people.
