Tried of Making No sales, Is There Any Other Way to Profit Online?

I have been doing internet marketing for 18 months, and still no sales.

I tired promoting with Clickbank and Paydotcom with 1,000+ visitors per day, and over 500 clicks. NO sales.
I tried CPA (cost per action) with 1,000+ visitors per day. No sales.
I tried Clicksor ads with 1,000+ visitors per day. No sales.
I tried eBay, Amazon, iOffer, and eCrator using wholesale dropshippers to sell with low prices, but no one wants anything from me. It does matter how many veiws it is, no one wants my items. I offered desktops, laptops, pc tablets, tvs, multifunction machines, power ups machines, software, servers, and computer accesseries with a low price.

It doesn't matter how targeted the niche is, how many clicks, or how many visitors, All of these methods I do fail, is there any other option about internet marketing? I tried becoming an affliate with Clickbank, Amazon and Paydotcom with a blog with many clicks from others. I tried that so called "cpa" which is a waste of time on my blog, I don't get how many people succed in that pile of junk. I used auction websites and eCommerce websites. I used classifieds like Craigslist, Backpage, USFreeads, Oodle Marketplace, no one wants anything from me, and plus, the traffic that I have is high.

I am still having hope with wholesale dropshipping, but I permanently gave up on cost per action, and promoting with Clickbank, and Paydotcom; please don't let met promote CommissionJunction next. -.-

So, I would like to ask this question, is there's any other way to profit online besides promoting Clickbank, Paydotcom, using cost per action, using Adwords and Clicksor ads? Is there any other method out there? I would like to know. Thanks.

Adsense might be something for you, since you're getting a lot of clicks. Have you ever tried it?

I have a friend that is making a couple thousand dollars a month through Fiverr. Many think that because you only pocket $4 per sale that it's not worth it...The fact is, if you offer something that is unique, and you can complete with little effort, you will do well with it!

    Best of luck!

Thought about creating and selling your own product in a specialized niche on your blog? Seems you've spent a lot of time promoting a variety of electronic devices, for which there is a ton of competition, but nothing that's YOU.

After reading your post, I'm positive I know what your problem is, and choosing a diff. affiliate network isn't going to change it. Also, there are other ways to make money online, but they all involve a skill which you currently lack--being able to connect with your audience. Although it is important to choose a quality product and to make sure to product is relevant to the user based on what they are searching for, it's not going to matter if you don't know your niche.

It's a basic principle of business, and the only way to overcome it is to combat it is to learn how to get inside the heads of the people you want to buy from you. What is motivating them to buy the product? If you can't answer this, you're not going to make a sale. That's why a lot of people recommend starting off with a niche you are familiar with. It's takes a bit of psychology. Try visiting some popular forums in your niche(s).

    Good luck,
    Joey

That is what I did, check out the website, shellclick . com. some of the pages have over one thousand comments. Sorry about the ads, I just did that yesterday. I will take half of them off.

I am getting attention on eBay and iOffer. But on iOffer, all am attracting are forieners out the US, there was someone resquesting a money order. I would never accept money orders or checks online. I do Paypal, and bank cards. Today on eBay, I was selling a Sbuy 4000p Sff/E6700/250gb/2gb/Dvdrw from HP for 485.99, but there is a U.S. user wants me to down it to $400, if I do that, I will lose profit. This pc cost $539.00 in stores!

So, I will try Adsense and Fiverr, anything else?

        I agree 100% with Miguelito203

Just because you are not making money with 1000 unique visitors per day, does not necessarily mean it's time to move on to some other money making method. All that tells me (assuming this is even targeted traffic) is that your conversion rate needs improvement.
I agree that Adsense might not be a bad approach to test out - ya never know - but definitely don't assume a given approach is flawed just because you haven't made money with it yet!

Where were your 1000+ visitors coming from, by the way? Search engines? PPC? Other?

    Hi CTory

This is happening may be you are getting not serious buyers but just only those who are looking for free download content on the net.

Well, Tory there are 2 types of Keywords that you need to know and also need to know how you get "Hungry" Buys so that you will start getting sales.

Here you to... Good Keywords . for example lets talk about internet Niche - and you have a SEO Software or script to offer what you need to check with "google adwords keyword tool" is like this "internet marketing member areas" or "affiliate marketing member areas" then you get all those who are serious buyers who are mainly looking to either be a member by paying or who already are paid members and also looking for some good stuff..

Bad KEYWORDS - like FREE, FREE Downloads there are the guys who are only looking for free downloads and they will not buy from you...

Hope this will help you in getting you sales.

    Need more help the L-M-K.

Interesting. You get 1000 visitors a day with no sales, that's weird. I got a sale after 100 visitors, my average is a sale per 60 visitors. Maybe you need to improve the content of your website. TRY BUILDING LIST!

cant see you mention building a list of buyers.

We have done this over the last several years, and its literally like having an atm in your backyard that spits out money any time and any day of the week without a credit card. Just a push of a button with some text to your buyers.

      Dare you to try this.

Send me a box of flowers and chocolate with your profits, when you take action on this please.

P.S. Proven list of buyer does not have to be your own too. It can be someone elses big list of buyers. Think about that for a second. I am done here.

If none of these methods work many of us must be dreaming. Better wake up and go get a 'real' job like our parents told us in the beginning

Lol...cTory I know your frustration. I've been there before. We all have. But don't come to the conclusion that these methods don't work...because they do. YOUR approach doesn't work, but that can be easily fixed.

The first thing you need to do is choose your method and stick with it. Once you put in the effort don't jump to another project. Keep working at it until you start seeing profits, then scale it up, and THEN move on to the next project if that's what you want to do.

If you're not seeing results, do some research or come here and ask for advice. Not 'how to make money online' advise, but share your URL, give us some of your stats, and then state your problem. '1,000 visitors and no sales' for example.

Then make adjustments to you plan accordingly. It takes some time but once you start making money, it's like the light switch turns on and everything will click.

Are you concentrating on the problems your products & services are solving for your prospects...or are you listing features and benefits of what you offer?

Find some urgent, emotional needs your prospects have that the things you sell can fix, and you'll start to make sales.

One you need to understand the customer. I have a posting on my blog called "Why People Buy", you should check it out. Also, with all the visitors a day that you get I would slap an opt-in form up asap! Especially if I'm spending my money at least get the lead for follow-up emails. That's when you will build the rapport, and trust of your customers that will lead to sales. It's a pretty good formula and it works.

I dont do internet marketing aka buy my get rich on the internet products but I do about 700k a year in sales with products I physically sell and the number 1 thing noone does is seperate themselves, 99% all pitch and sell the same crap. Nothing unique, you need your own product in my opinion, brand your name, brand your product. I spend a ton of time on forums HELPING , NOT selling and in turn the sales roll in as I have branded myself and have become a household name in my industry. Its not 1995 when we could sell bags of ice to someone in alabama.

You must break away from the same ole crap everyone is pitching. It took 6 years of 15 hrs a day but the rewards are long term. I do ZERO paid advertising.

    (a bit long)
First off, I checked out your website shell click.com

I don’t mean to sound rude but it was pretty terrible. The graphics and layout was nice sure. But you are WAY, WAY too focused on the “technical” aspects of the products.

Here is a quote that I found from your site.

“Televisions. (TV) is a telecommunication medium for transmitting and receiving moving images that can be monochromatic (shades of grey) or multicoloured.”

    Are you serious?

As a potential customer I really don’t care about HOW a TV works, I just want to know how good it is going to look on screen. How is it going to sound? How much am I going to enjoy it? That’s what I want to know.

After looking over most of your text it looks to me that you found some technical specs of your products somewhere and just copied and pasted them. I am betting that is what you did, and I bet you didn’t even really look over what you were copying and pasting (because if you did, you wouldn’t have copied and pasted it.)

Let me ask you would you buy an ebook from me if I had a post that said, “Ebook – a digital document filled with text, and images. Has 12 blue links leading to recommended sites from author. 2 links to videos. Has disclaimer, table of contents, and numbered pages.”

    Of course you wouldn’t

You would rather buy an ebook that says, “Turn that traffic into Cash. Who else wants learn these 3 powerful psychological triggers guaranteed to pull cash out of your customers wallets?”

Which of those two would excite you more?

As a visitor to your website I would have liked to see or hear your opinion on the product. Did you test it out? What did you think? How did it feel in your hands?

If I were you I would watch some of they Keynote speeches of Steve Jobs introducing the Iphone and Ipad (here is a link of him introducing the Ipad )

Watch some videos on Youtube of people “Unboxing” tv’s, camera’s, phones, and notice how they give their opinions, and yea some of them will talk about the technical specs, but the really good ones will focus on WHY you should buy one.
And notice at the end of most videos these people will tell you to go to their sites to watch more videos. (Sure you can watch them on youtube, but their goal is to get you to their site so you go through their affiliate links.)

Pesonally, if I were you I would model your business after these guys and girls and create some video reviews. There a couple of poeple that are my favorites on Youtube and I go to them before I think of buying anything. Why? because I trust them. Weird since I have never met these people in my life.

You don't have to do "Unboxing" videos, but fix your text, make it more personal, more YOU. What might help is for you to focus on products that you would like to buy, that way it would be easy to think about what excites you about them, imagining actually having that product in your hands, and that excitement will come through in your writing and get your customers excited. And they will be more than likely to click on your ebay links.

I hope you don’t think I was being too harsh, and that you focus on the changes you need to make. I would love to be in your position getting 1,000 clicks a day.

If you could just convert 10% of them, and lets say you were making a $10 commission on whatever you were selling, that would be $100/day buddy. Wow.

Keep us updated on your progress.

    Thanks

I agree with the audience connection problem suggestion.

In addition, your site isn't very inviting. You can use keywords in the titles, but use more than just the keywords, or it looks bad to human readers (the kind who actually buy stuff, search engines don't).

If you're not paying for that kind of traffic, you could just sell the whole site on Flippa, and make some cash that way. You're certainly getting enough traffic that someone would pay for it.

Create Squidoo lenses for free. It’s a sure way to make money even though it takes time and you have to create many quality lenses with original content now (after Google’s updates). You can also create stores, without having to write articles, but you should write a short description about your products. You will basically promote Amazon products, but you can also promote many other products at the same time.

You’ll be paid by Squidoo (royalties) even if you make no sales, just for creating lenses (if their lensrank won’t be higher than 85.000).

Here is a lens that teaches you how to easily create many business lenses in a short period of time and get traffic. Since you manage to send 1000 visitors to your sites, you’ll surely make money with Squidoo if you’ll send these visitors to your lenses:

    http://www.squidoo.com/passive-income-website-traffic-squidoo-beginners-guide

Squidoo was not affected by the Panda, and it’s helping me send targeted traffic to my websites. The traffic that comes from my lenses is also very good; my visitors are spending more time at my websites after reading my nice lenses. I write many articles, but if you are not a good writer you can create stores.

    All the best!

With a thousand visitors a day, you seem to know something about getting traffic. Perhaps you should consider getting traffic for other people, working with offline businesses. Let someone else handle the web design or copy writing.

    Quick visit to your site...

Two pop ups... both closed asap if I visit a site I want to see the site. Not pop ups.

I can see why no one is doing anything with the pop up... they pop to soon.

You're trying to sell electronics... who are you I would not buy anything from the site because of trust... not when I can go to best buy or amazon who has lots of trust.

why don't you try and make a review give it a star rating...also make the images not with the white background if your page is black.

Put some value and trust in your site.

    Hope that helps

Maybe add some articles that will help your visitors such as: "How to Choose the Right Computer for Your Needs", "7 Tips for Buying Your New Computer", "What Every College Student Needs on Their Computer". "How to Save Money When You Buy a New Computer" etc.

As others have mentioned, a huge popup when someone lands on your site is very annoying. I typically click away from a site like that as fast as possible. I think you'd do better using a simple Amazon store, either using Amazon's widgets or one of the WP plugins sold for that purpose.

Your site also has lots of keywords listed in large fonts, which might make sense from an SEO point of view, but it's hardly attractive.

I don't really think that the "solve a problem" idea really applies here though. That's something that's often repeated, but it really only applies to a few niches, such as people desperately need money, want to lose weight, cure a health problem or get their ex back. With gadgets, it's more that they want a bright, shiny new object that does lots of cool stuff.

So you have to make the stuff look cool, not annoy them with popups, too many technical specifications and a distracting layout.

This might be harsh, but I just don't think the site looks credible.

your iOffer ads have hardly no views at all.. so if you are actually getting 1000 legit targeted human visitors to your site, it is not converting any of them to clicks.

The ad I looked at on ioffer didn't look very compelling, and your website doesn't look very legit - in all honesty, I wouldn't feel safe buying from you. It probably doesn't help that iOffer is pretty much a haven for people banned from ebay

Wow, your website kinda sucks for selling electronics! Sorry to be so blunt but everytime I click on a link I get a gamesville popup or a yellow pages pop up ad! YIKES!

Another thing, selling electronics is very competitive. Why would anyone buy from you when they can buy from Amazon? You need to build trust and give value to your visitors not throw pop up ads in their face every 2 minutes! Your product descriptions are also way too technical for the average consumer. Where's the sizzle in your sales pitch? For that matter, where's your sales pitch, period.

Just my 2 cents, we have all been where you are, but don't give up. I would just pick a hot niche, do your keyword research, build your site using seo and backlinks. Then drive some targeted traffic and collect optin leads from your traffic, so you can start building a list you can market to later. Keep pluging on until you see success before moving onto another venture.

    Good luck!

Never accept money order or checks online, they're all a scam. Secondly, try simplifying your site with a few main or key products in the limelight. Also try offering something unique that's not so competitive. If you've created your own product, why not focus on marketing and just driving traffic to that? Good luck...

I've read this entire thread but haven't figured it out yet. Is the traffic you're sending targeted? And how so?

I can assure you that every one of the methods you have tried in the past hold just as much potential for you as they do anybody else.
