  • they'll probably sell it as long as people are buying it... there are plenty of products in this industry that are of questionable efficacy.
  • Google is catching up to autoblogs, because if content is bad and the bounce rate is higher, Google will penalize your site; I still think that autoblogs using videos only are a viable source of income and when people go on your site and find videos, it takes them longer to watch the videos and as a result the bounce rate is acceptable and Google likes that.
  • What you mean people aren't raking in the cash scraping other peoples copyrighted content. That's just plain weird.

Maybe you should give it a try anyways. Why do the work when you can just steal it and cash in?
  • If you use autoblogs bad things will happen and the sky will fall on your head.
Only Google is allowed to make money automatically.

    LOL.
  • You have to maintain editorial control. Most autoblogs are failing not because autoblogging doesn't work, but because autobloggers don't work. Plenty of people are making plenty of money off autoblogging, but they're doing it by working the system more like curation and less like a "set and forget" system.

Good autobloggers approve each and every post on their blogs, respect copyright and terms of service, republish only what they are legally and ethically permitted to republish, and supplement the republished content with original content created just for (if not by) them.

It's not autopilot, but it's a lot easier than creating ALL the content yourself.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • Autoblogs aren't dead still..
It depends what tools do you use and how good is your generated content so , you should be more careful now.
It is possible that google will develop more in this direction and it will be bad for lots of us , like hpgoodboy said and is very true thing...

Still many people are getting good money from autoblogs but not everybody.
  • No, Google's still turning a profit last time I checked.
  • If you do a little hunting, you can still buy software that will generate crappy Made For Adsense scraper sites almost as fast as Google can deindex them. And that particular methodology died years ago.

As long as there is a willing market, there will be sellers catering to that market.

As for autoblogs, you can't tell the best ones from a manually constructed website or blog. Those still make money, from what I'm told.

The worst of them are basically MFA 2.0, meaning they steal and spin content trying to weasel their way into the Google rankings, with 'content' meant to make the click away the only viable escape route. Those, like the MFA scraper sites before them, are one algorithm tweak away from joining their ancestors...
  • Were they ever alive???

Just think of the backlinks you would have to build to rank???

I think they are more work than a regular blog...
