100 Sites Drop From Google Index

Last week over 100 of my sites were drop from google index at the same time. Some of these sites are about 1 year old to about 1 month old. Some are sub domains and regular domains.
Possible reasons, duplicate contents since I did publish some articles from articles directory recently or maybe sub domains.

Anyone ever experience this and what did you do to get them index again? What shall I do?

Then, I registered a new site with a new domain, it was index for a couple days then got drop again.

Yes they are all from the same I.P and also from the same nameserver. Does changing nameserver will make a difference?

  • Are any of them dot info domains? I've heard of people having problems with dot info domains getting de-indexed in Google.

Also, how much duplicate content do they have? This might have been a factor.

What you could do is create a new domain with ONLY unique content to see if it gets de-indexed as well. If this happens again, it could be that Google has flagged the name servers from your hosting account.

Sometimes, when Google de-indexes a site, it will eventually come back, so maybe you can check again in a week or two to see if your sites made it back into Google's index.

Wow you have alot of websites.. One thing i did hear about is that the google ranking system on how they rank websites has changed or is changing.. I dont know if this has taken effect or not but could be.

This seems to be a regular phenomenon and seems to be down to the way that Google sets out its filters and algorhythms.

I have had may sites de-indexed but, what really p'd me off was when one site fell from over 75,000 indexed pages to 450 indexed pages.

The site was an information site and sold nothing (but did have adsense ads) so it isn't necessarily an internet marketing problem.

Duplicate content did not exist on the site so that had nothing to do with it. The site has pulled back to over 2,500 indexed pages but that is still a shadow of the former figure. Visits to the site from Google plummeted but I still got many visitors from MSN, Opera and so on and, of course, bookmarked visitors did not drop at all.
