  • This first step in Marketing is to find a Niche and figure out everything you can about the people who are searching for products and services in that niche.

Building a site is one of the last things you do.

So now that you have built your site... great. Time to figure out who where and what. Then you can rebuild it.

Otherwise you aren't doing anything more than pretending.

That's reality. There are already 100's of millions of sites.

It all depends on how much time you are wanting to spend on promoting the site before focusing on your next site. You've built it so you 'may' as well follow the next step.

I would build backlinks to the main index page and also some links to each of the inner pages, targeting specific keywords for each phrase.

If the site looks good and has some great info and products on there then it's a money machine waiting to earn you some income. Get some targeted traffic to the site and see if it converts for you. If it does convert then make some minor tweaks to increase the conversion and then drive more traffic to it.

After that... you can move onto your next site / project.

    Good luck.

Ok, so on site I have used a silo seo structure and my intial backling plan is to manual bookmark to top 10, manual submit articles to 5 directories that i have chosen, use 2.0 sites (suid, hub, blogger) to link all together. Use social media(facebook, twitter, linkedIn, Google+) to send out links to all of the above. Have scrapebox and info from war room to find high ranking blogs and sites to comment and backlink... anything else... or is this a solid strategy?

Sit back and do nothing. This site will explode.... Wait no seriously, now the work starts it is time to advertise your site and draw traffic. But my question is are the articles unique or duplicate content I would be checking all the articles on a plagirism checker if you didnt write them.

You also need to start working on your SEO and get your site listed on the search engines.

Seems like a good start to me. However it has been my experience you have to update the content at least monthly to maintain your rankings regardless of how hot your website is. Also depends on your keywords and competition on whether or not that is enough to get your on the first page.

On this site I will publish 3-5 articles weekly tying in google/yahoo trends. And I appreciate everyone of your responses.

Alexa Smith and Myob have given great advice in regards to articles. As far as everything else I have mostly pieced it together from various post. If there is any advice that you want to share, I can promise it is greatly appreciated.

Please understand, I am just starting out. What is a pingback and how do I do it?
    Okay ... that's better ...

I think in your post you mentioned you use Market Samurai. Take a look at this video and it will give you some insight into a pingback strategy.

Noble Samurai - Dojo - Pingback Strategy

Basically, it will give you more links back to your site, improve your PR (page rank) and improve your listing in Google.

    Cheers,
