Amazon - add similar products to my site, or make a new site?

Hi guys. I have an amazon site who's traffic is really taking off. The trend shows big traffic for 3 months.

It's a review site for a specific type of product.

I have 8 reviews.

There are similar products in this niche, but not exactly what the site description is... imagine something like indoor table tennis tables.com, but then you start to also review outdoor ones... that sort of deal.

Anyway, my sites getting around 5,000 visits a month, most of that from the second half of last month... so I expect the traffic to grow.

Should I tap into these other products on my site... or make a duplicate site, and link to it from this site?

If I do this, should it be with a different hosting provider?

So... put another section on my current site... or build a new site.

The products would compliment my current site, I'm just wondering what the best tactic would be.

I would add the reviews to your current site. You can build a content rich site and it will be less work managing one over several sites.

      Good point.

At the moment, I just added a link to the main menu bar of my site, to the products page on amazon for these new products.

I'm wondering, is this a bad idea?

That should not be a problem. It would be like adding an Amazon widget to your site on the side bar. Only you added a text link instead. You may want to make the links "no follow".

Get up proper reviews with contextual links as soon as you can though, as they are much more likely to convert than a non contextual link (or widget) just randomly placed on your site.

I hear ye. I'm going to get some reviews up soon enough.

I guess the more content on my site, the better!

I just need to work on the navigation now.
