Help! How to setup unique name servers.

I signed up for an SEO hosting account at skynet and they gave me different class C IP addresses along with a different NS for each. This was great and I thought I would sign up for another SEO account through a different hosting company for diversity.

I spoke with sales at Turnkey and was told that they don't provide a seperate NS for each IP address but that private NS were easy to setup with your registrar. I signed up and then talked with their support about how to setup private NS's and after a big run around was finally told that I would have to use two of my IPs for every NS I setup and that I shouldn't run a website on those two IPs. So in my case I bought a 10 IP SEO plan, with intentions of running 10 domains, now though they are saying I would need 30 IP addresses to run 10 domains with each having their own unique NS.

This doesn't make sense to me and I'm sure there has to be a better way to do this.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Nathan

if you want your own nameservers, and want unique ones for every domain, then I don't see any other options. Throwing a nameserver on the same IP as a website sort of defeats your purpose (as I interpret it), as it links them together.

Thanks for the info. It seems like I had read in a thread were someone was doing hosting through the registrar in order to have unique NS's for each IP. Of course I can't find that thread now....

Any one else care to chime in or point me to a resource. My google foo is only coming up with info on how to change it at the registrar but not on how to actually set it up i whm or cpanel.
