Dating Advice blogger needs advice/traffic

I've been researching for a while. In a nutshell, I have a dating advice blog (wordpress) that I really want to monetize. Here is a little info on the blog:

-Google PR3
-Page 2-3 for 2 main keywords (plan to be on page 1 soon)
-Post 4-5 times a week
-Getting about 80 unique visitors a day
-I've sold ad space on Fiverr and from direct contacts so I have made a little money
-Started the blog back in June
-Been accepted into CPALead and waiting for approvals from Peerfly, EWA and Neverblue. I tried a CPALead offer today and it just doesnt run smoothly for the end user so I wasnt happy with it.
I have adsense running as well but dont expect much from that

My goals:
- More Traffic
- Want to monetize the blog (would be happy with a couple hundred bucks a month so not being greedy or anything)
- I want to boost my FB and Twitter following


Could really use someone's honest opinion and tips. Thanks guys

    If you're in the pickup niche you should add a SargeNation button. SargeNation.com is like the Digg for dating/pickup. I used to have a blog in the niche and it brought a lot of traffic.

    As far as on site advertisements, I have found Max Bounty to have the best payout and biggest selection of offers (especially in the field of dating). But another way you can make money is by selling affiliate products. Maybe a $5 eBook. If you have people sign up for a mailing list, you can get a pretty big list of subscribers and send out a newsletter with an eBook or some sort of valuable information 2 times a month.

    You could also regularly post affiliate links to different online dating sites in your posts. To find those simply type in "Match.com affiliate" in Google.

      Yes which reminds me. I want to start building a subscriber list to build a good client base. I have heard good and bad re: AWeber, MailChimp, etc. What is the best way to get started for those that have a Wordpress blog? I'd like a pop up appear where/when I specify and have a widget of course.

        If you're looking for a pop up to get subscribers, then I would suggest you go with MailChimp.

          Well, I use Aweber.

          If you want to make money from this market you need to adopt a more aggressive approach. Going for a couple of hundred bucks a month won't cut it.

          There reason why I'm saying that is, this market is saturated with a lot of rubbish. The saturation means a lot of people are sceptical, and they think they know it all (even though they can't get laid).

          So you need to go "all in" if you are serious.

          It's too bad you can't PM, I would have said send me a message.

    Your niche needs concentration on social media. Pay definite attention to your Facebook fan page and work relentlessly on it. Sign up for Facebook ads and sponsored ads. Share all your material on as many social networks as possible.

    Offer some incentive for liking your facebook page. For example you could offer a free ebook (or free chapters) and create a welcome page for your facebook page that says "Like this page now and get a free eBook!".

    For monetizing I suggest including some dating affiliate programs and related clickbank products. Make sure you have a good amount of articles about online dating to increase conversions.

      As far as monetizing your blog, you can always put in banners and/or links to dating sites. Try to cover a variety of niches if possible (eg. general dating, gay dating, adult dating, etc.).

    Youtube seriously did wonders for previous relationship blogs I've worked with. Matching up the best keywords with hyper-popular videos can bring you a lot more traffic than you expect.
