How to get a high EPC?

Well I've been getting around 0.15 per click. I've seen some of my friends hit $1. I haven't been able to find the answer and was just wondering if anybody had some good idea(s) on how to raise it. Thanks in Advance!

    If you could provide a little bit more detail that would be helpful...

    I take it you are promoting the same offer as your friends? If you are, compare your ad copy to theirs as well as the traffic source...

    It depends on the quality of the product and sales page you are promoting and if you are getting clicks from the right target group.

    If you are promoting an diet product as an affiliate. You have to promote an product with a good reputation, and with a good and informative sales page.
    The right targeting group for this product will then be "overweight people who want to lose weight".
