Serious amazon site question

Hi, I have bought 2 domain names,

1. XXXreview.com
2.XXXreview.co.uk

so I was wondering do I have to build 2 sites which are different or can I redirect the uk site to my .com
site, which will save me the time of making a uk site.

I will use the amazon-affiliate-link-localizer it redirects your links to what ever country the customer lives in.

so I know I can easily do this but what do you think google will think is this slappable
i dont want to risk losing the 2 sites , but there's so much work in making a similar site. alot of reviews to rewrite.

hope I explained that well enough.

thankx in advance warriors

You can set up just one website, using one of the domain names, then, set the second url to redirect to the first. When I did exactly the same thing, I was also given the option of having the appropriate url display when the visitor arrived at the site. By appropriate, i mean whichever url they actually arrived via.

Ok, stay with .com one only. Concentrate on it.

    Hi mickd,

What AnniePot was referring to is called "cloaking", I believe, and your registrar should provide that option as part of a redirect.

You can start building the .com site and then go to your registrar's site and redirect the .co.uk site to point to the .com site and set the cloaking to display the .co.uk site in the top of the browser if that is what you want.

If you are going to be building affiliate advertising sites like Amazon, ClickBank, Commission Junction or others using WordPress, you might want to check out (fellow Warrior) Ryan Stevenson's WordPress affiliate plugin which includes the option for additional countries for Amazon advertising.

Very powerful, easy to use software. You can find it here:

    Not an affiliate link

Personally I'd ditch the .co.uk site and just use the .com site. From what I've read, having a .co.uk vs a .com domain doesn't make a shred of difference when trying to rank in the UK.

I think you can use only one website and try other domain to redirect on your first domain.
