Hey guys, my entire IM career I've been marketing to people who are intermediate to experts already, and I would like to branch out to create products that help total beginners. I've already started, but I was wondering what tips you had to help with attracting them to my sites.

Have you done keyword research with regards to "newbies"? Do they even like to see that word?

Basically, what words turn them off and which words really make them interested in your products?

Thank you in advance!

I have also worked with the intermediate / expert, but I have had a lot of experience also with "newbies who understand commitment."

That is key, because that is what is necessary for them to be around long enough to purchase your service a second time and a third. LOL

Most newbies don't know to search for the word newbie, because they don't know that they are one, unless they have some experience in a place like the WF.

Sell the long tail and the idea to reach your target audience.

Understand the questions that newbies ask, then optimize your SEO and advertising to match those questions, and you will find better results.

I would suggest that you use the keyword new network marketer or new marketer, most new marketers have never heard of the word "newbie".

If you're using search traffic, think of terms people type in when they're newbies. Generally, it's more vague, things like..
how do i make money online?
    how to earn online free
    etc

Whereas advanced people might type in
    how to increase conversion rate
    how to connect with readers
    etc

On the other hand, if you do a wso, I've seen lots of them specifically address newbies, eg
    "No Newbies Allowed" or
    "Newbie Friendly"
And I think this helps the newbie understand whether the product is for him/her.

@ivoree - I think newbie is a pretty common term by now, and not just in IM.

    Hope that helps!

I personally like to say things like "No experience needed" and different variations of it so that the person can associate themselves with the product you are selling but at the same time they don't feel offended in any way (whether it be consciously or unconsciously).
