How To Make Video Sales Letters Using Text and Pre Recorded Audio

Hey Folks

I want to make a nice video sales letter for my landing page using pre recorded audio. Now I know many people recommend using camtasia with powerpoint slides though the only way to do it I believe is by recording system audio while recording or importing the slides into camtasia as images. Are there any other alternatives that I can use to create an attractive video sales letter using prerecorded audio? Ideally I would like something that allows me to create "slides" that can be positioned along the audio track and output to avi etc.

Yes, you can do exactly that using Camtasia. Just download a free trial and play around with it.

You could make stunning video sale letters using Camtasia like said above and powerpoint. All you need from there is a good headset mic.

You want to record the audio track first, and then add the pictures and text to it afterwards - correct?

Most non-linear editing systems will allow you to do this - in fact it's how most videos are editied. You can do it in Windows MovieMaker, but that might be a bit "clunky". The software I use for this sort of stuff is Serif MoviePlus HD Video Editing Software – MoviePlus X5 from Serif (not an affiliate link).

Looks good. Do they have different video skins and a standalone video player?

No, they don't, but you can always save the result as a .mp4 file and use JWPlayer.

    Hey

Thanks for the advice spearce000, that is exactly what I want to do. I just want a quick way to get audio into a text/image based presentation that can be used as a sales video. I know camtasia can do it but it just seems cumbersome have to playback the whole powerpoint presentation to get the timing while it is being recorded.

Will give the starter edition a shot.

You're very welcome. Camtasia has its place, and it's very powerful software, but it's not going to do what you want in this instance. Serif software is very underrated IMHO. I'm using MoviePlus X3 right now (the current version is X5) and I'm often amazed by what it can do.

BTW, Serif give away older versions of some of their software products for free (sadly video editing software isn't one of them) at this site: FreeSerifSoftware – free software downloads I recommend getting the free version of DrawPlus as you can create some pretty cool video graphics that way.

If you have an existing PowerPoint presentation, save each slide as a .jpg file and import them into the timeline that way. PM me if you need any assistance.

Oh, so he wants to import images into a vidio he makes while talking.

I've made Camtasia videos without using Powerpoint by importing jpegs. Doing the audio first gives me the timing, and I drop slides into Camtasia at the appropriate places and tell Camtasi what type of transitition I want between that slide and the next.

    He says,
"...the only way to do it I believe is by recording system audio while recording or importing the slides into camtasia as images.
Is it that he wants to record or import the slides while talking? That seems like it would really be on the fly, and a hard way to go - one little timing mistake and he would have to start recording audio all over again.

Movie Plus looks interesting too and not expensive.

Interesting. I didn't realise you could do this with Camtasia. I just use it for screen capture videos, and MoviePlus for everything else.

Does anybody know about the best Text to Speech voice converter software/tool, which can produce close to human like voice? I've checked out many but none of them is good. It could be a very useful tool for the people who are shy of recording their own voice in a video presentation or for the ones who don't speak English as their first language.

Your inputs will be much appreciated for the sake of all the warrior who are interested to know about it....THANKS.

Thanks Don, I checked out the site you suggested and it has some appeal and worth testing further on their Free version. I'm definitely going to go further into it.

Thanks "awoodyear" for your suggestion as well. I've checked out your suggested site too but Don's site appealed to me more as the voice sounds much closer to human like on that.

I hate powerpoint and don't use it; especially when google docs is free and you can create slideshow type presentations in that for free.
