Personally, I'm just hitting the point of about $800 but it took me quite over 2 years. It all depends on a lot of factors beginning from your mindset. If you are without a mentor and are not focused, it could take too long and you may end up queuing with others who drop. Some people make that figure early and some late while others never do

$600 a month is just $20 a day. You can do that with a list of 100 buyers or 1000 subscribers. So it depends on how quick you can collect 100 buyer email addys or 1000 list subscribers, doesn't it?

Some people take years, others take a few weeks, just because someone took a few years or a few days it does not mean that will be the same for yourself.

If you are someone with real drive and determination to change your financial situation then you can bring in $600 a month within the next month or 2 provided you work for it.

It also depends on how you want to generate income, you want to build a list and sell your own products? promote cpa offers? become an amazon affiliate? provide software? offer services?? become an affiliate for other proucts??

There are so many different avenues to make money online and some that are far quicker than others, use these forums to investigate the potential methods for making money online and pick one that appeals to you and just work at it, don't get sidetracked and don't jump from method to method.

    Good luck.

If you outsource your tasks or you build a team, usually it will take less time than if you were to work all by yourself.

Nevertheless it depends on you 100%.

To reach that kind of money is not so hard but you need to have certain knowledge in IM. I'm almost 8 years in this job and I remember when I start my dream was to make any money so I can prove to my self that make money on the Internet is not just a dream. If I start now, from zero I could be able to reach that kind of money in a few days, not months and even years but I speak for myself not as a newbie.

Does auto pilot really work? After spending some time on researching, many of the experienced marketers don't really agree with auto pilot.

My definition of autopilot are generating income without doing anything,I am not sure about your definition.

Yes it does work. Once you get top rankings in google there really isnt much work to do. Except checking rankings, traffic and sales every morning. And ofc building more sites

But sure everything ends one day. Google might change algorithm tomorrow and bye bye autopilot income.

In my experience you can run a business on near autopilot.. you can take a few months off, come back and everything is still rolling along.

It takes a fair bit of planning and a fair bit of work to create it though, but once everything is set up, it's golden.

I have a few sites that run like this and one site that sells physical products: the customer places an order, that's sent through to the drop ship warehouse and they handle everything from there.

With digital products it's even easier.

A long time. It wasn't even measurable, for me, in those terms.

I floundered around for 3 - 4 months, having absolutely no idea what I was doing, making every mistake one can possibly make, trying to set up an article marketing-based business without knowing what article marketing was, trying to use article directories without understanding what they were for and how they worked, trying to sell ClickBank products but selecting all the wrong ones, and so on. I was even trying - as a complete newbie - to get my traffic via SEO.

Unsurprisingly, at no point during those initial months did I earn as much as $600 in a month.

Then after that I had a sort of epiphany, and in the space of a week or two, with some help and support and lot of long-overdue realisations that most of the information I'd previously been given was complete nonsense, I changed many things I'd been doing and near enough "started over again"; the following month (maybe my 5th?), I think I earned over $3,000 and was suddenly making a living. So I suppose "$600 per month" was in there, somewhere, probably in my 5th month, but it never really registered.

(I've answered about my own affiliate marketing business only: I was earning some money separately, writing articles for clients who bought them, but I stopped doing that as quickly as I could).

It takes time to reach that amount especially if you are just new with IM. But there are Internet Marketers who really earn much than that amount.

Autopilot really work, but sometimes you just don't have to depend on it you should also work on it.

@ Alexa, How much did it cost you after reaching your $600/month?

Can I do that if I do it alone without any help of outsourcing or any other paid SEO?

It took me about 6 months.

Mind you, every day was crammed tight. I'd wake, have breakfast at the computer and work until the early hours, then repeat.

After this period of trial and error and setup things became a lot easier!

Almost nothing, really. Just hosting and some domain-names.

After I started earning about $3,500+ per month, I did then spend money on having some SEO done. If I'd known then what I know now about SEO, I probably wouldn't have done that at all. I don't know to what extent (if at all) I actually benefitted from the money I spent on it, because causation is always so hard to attribute. But the more recent niches I started, after I'd stopped paying for SEO at all, developed just as well and just as smoothly, without my having spent anything on SEO for them at all, as the earlier ones on which I had spent some (perhaps unnecessary) money. But I never spent anything much on them until after I was earning a living from them, anyway. And I certainly won't be spending any "SEO money" on anything else I do in future.

It inevitably depends on one's skill-set, and whether it would suit you is always a different question, but in principle, if you can write good articles, you can do what I did. If anything, it's arguably a little bit easier now than it was when I started.

And I believe that business models that aren't entirely dependent on Google make much more sense, in the long run, for many people, too. Search engine traffic is only one source of traffic (and it isn't where most of my traffic comes from).

On the technical front, virtually anyone here can do what I did: almost nobody here has fewer technical skills than I. (Wordpress, for example, is beyond me.)

But of course, as with anything else, there's still quite a learning-curve involved.

Took me about 5-6 months. I started without knowing anything about IM though. It is all about having the correct mindset and being focused though. There are so many ways to make money online, it can get pretty overwhelming. Just don't jump from thing to thing though, focus on one thing only. If it makes you money then keep doing it. Most people make the mistake of moving away from something that is making them money and not continuing doing it.

Wow this is yet another great WF thread.
I have been studying and studying until my eyes have turned to dust, this was about Jan 2011 til May 2011. Finally, I just got to doing something and put all the studying away.

Now a few months into it, I have not hit the 600 mark but I have so much dedication and I build and build. This thread inspires me that I will get there.

I use Adsense. Takes me about 2 months to reach 600 a month with just one site. Now multiply those efforts x 5 ....if you can build and rank 5 sites every 3 months. No site goes after less than 50,000 exact match searches total.

2 years ??? I thought I was slow. alot of people are wasting time.

Exactly, or if possible scale! If you can do what you do now 10 or 100 times you're making 10 or 100 times the money

To be frank, I took 8 months to get my first $600.It was after a long struggle, trial and error. Personally I was lacking focus and jumping from one program to another to make money. Later I realized that to make money online, we have to forget about making money. Seriously, when we concentrate more to help people, money will come to your way. That is my experience.

Got to agree with the other warriors. It all depends on a number of factors such as are you list building and what methods are you using. Are you outsourcing tasks or are you trying to do everything yourself. Do you have a mentor or are you learning as you go along..etc

For me personally it was just over a year and a half but for some it may be sooner/longer
